That last question in the main article is an interesting one. After seeing some of those photos I’ve speculated that the bomb at that location may have actually been underneath the grating for the “tree well” — and may have even been partially buried.

Nope...right on top of the grate near the tree...that would account for that barrier bent around the mailbox.......
