By Pete Williams, Kristen Welker and Erin McClam, NBC News Federal agents on Wednesday arrested a suspect in the mailing of letters to President Barack Obama and a U.S. senator that initially tested positive for the poison ricin.
The suspect was identified as Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss., federal officials told NBC News.
Both letters carried an identical closing statement, according to an FBI bulletin obtained by NBC News on Wednesday.
According to the FBI bulletin, both letters, postmarked April 8, 2013 out of Memphis, Tenn., included an identical phrase, "to see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance."
In addition, both letters are signed: "I am KC and I approve this message."

Man, that was close.
What a moron, don’t you have to eat ricin for it to be effective? Whoever did this has been watching too much Breaking Bad.
Liberal media today in Miami Florida noted that "Wicker was one of the Republicans that voted with Democrats on gun control!" (the cloture vote)...
The liberal Obama buttlicking media can't check a calendar, can they? That cloture vote was taken on April 11...three days AFTER the letter was mailed.
I think Forrest was from Alabama.
Darn, I just checked over the thread to make sure no one else had already corrected him then you had to beat me to it.
Post of the day!
I think now they’re saying his name is Paul Kevin Curtis.
Yes, he and Roy Rogers both sang with the Sons of the Pioneers.
They were also in a lot of the old Roy Rogers programs.
Where did he get the ricin?
Its Elvis...the Tupelo Mississippi Flash
You can never watch too much “Breaking Bad”!
C’mon, you really wanted Touko to eat that burrito....admit it!
He bought a package of castor bean seeds for $4?
Forrest was from the fictional town of Greenbow, Alabama.
That whole scene was great.
Can’t wait to see Walt go Tony Montana on everyone.
Yeh, right. The FBI can pinpoint a suspect out of 300 million people, but it can’t ID a suspect from a few hundred people at the finish line at the Boston Marathon.
There is a Kevin Curtis from Mississippi who on April 11th wrote “this is KC and I approved this message” on his facebook.
But somebody could conceivably mess with someone by quoting another person, then again, the letters were senton the 8th...but not found until the 14th or 15th. The guy is an unhappy Democrat.
Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss
Some big dude named Tyrone will be calling you his “Tupelo Honey” at the Federal Prison for the next 45 years.
I saw the explanation after I posted it..
Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss likely mailed the letters at a post office had a security camera or put his return address in the envelope.
From there, it would have been easy to track the terrorist down.
