A few hours after the deadly Boston Marathon attack, President Barack Obama made an extraordinary, if understated statement: politicians should suspend their state of perpetual conflict to unite against an unknown and deadly new national threat...
It was a subtle but unmistakable admission of just how much things have changed since George W. Bush grabbed a bullhorn, earning the tearful admiration of liberals and conservatives alike, as he stood atop the smoldering ruins of Ground Zero.

This is not something remote in people's lives (i.e. IEDs in Afghanistan with our soldiers injured or killed).
Obama even with media full-out help cannot cover THIS up neatly. Any misstep like blaming Cambridge cop or Trayvon Martin, the simmering dislike will surface into an open outrage.
And the media have to beware. Not after they just got ‘shamed’ into Gosnell coverage.
By the time Bush spoke in NY in September 2001, the left had already ridiculed him for reading My Pet Goat through to its end; accused him of hiding out, flying around in AF 1; and , of course, refused to fly American flags at their homes because that was some sort of a right-wing thing. Revisionist history.
Given hussen and Holder’s track record with the truth and justice... I am certain, as in nearly 100%, bet the farm sure... That that the real results of the investigation will be kept off the books. A major part of the investigation will be to dig up information and links hussein and his cohorts in crime can use to further their agenda. Remember, these people never let a crisis go to waste. Cynical? Yes, but I have zero faith and zero trust in these clowns. None. I believe they are capable of anything.
This Kenyan POTUS wouldn’t know bipartisanship if it bit him in his commie ass.
His maximum eminence is heading up to Boston on Thursday. He must need boost his support so we put on a little road show. I wonder if he will stop by the damaged areas in NJ to inspect the progress after the Sandy storm? Maybe he can pick up the blob and take him with him from NJ to Boston too.
Well!! There was Steny Hoyer, he is Nancy Pelosi’s butt boy, standing around blaming Republicans.
Yes, it may be paranoid, but I even wonder if the call for people to come forward with whatever they saw and know might even have another agenda - the authorities can then confiscate the evidence and debrief the witnesses to introduce doubt and confusion to make sure that a politically inconvenient Saudi connection is discredited and the investigation pointed in directions that support Obama's agenda.
He may want some unity before all of this is over.
Obama and all of his leftist handlers and supporters, no friends of law enforcement or the military, except to punish white conservatives for their capitalistic ways, will be like fish out of water when it comes to “fighting” any kind of war on terror.
All they know are back room deals to punish their political enemies, real or imagined, but when it comes to facing down real deadly enemies, ones with guns, bombs, deadly chemicals, they’re much more apt to want to “negotiate” they’re way out of this threat.
Real enemies of democracy (not that Obama and his supporters aren’t just that), ones who are ready to strap on bomb belts, plant IEDs along side America’s roads and other infrastructure and fly planes into buildings, aren’t intimidated by Obama’s threats and Executive Orders.
Real enemies, are playing for keeps and the losers don’t just lose House and Senate seats, they lose their lives.
Obama will have to look to “real men and women,” the ones who put their hands on the Bible and take the oath to defend America against real enemies both foreign and domestic, with their very lives, and mean it!
BRAVO!! Well said ... As soon as a REAL Jihad would get rolling within the domestic boundaries, we all know who would be called upon to resist it. Liberal pansies of all stripes would wet their pants at the least of what our soldiers have endured for the past 10 years ...
Any idea of the total amount of dollars cut?
I would like to compare that to solar money.
It’s just priorities... Global Warming or National Security
No street hustler wants unity.
Their entire game is us vs. them.
If a lefty tries to hold my hand I’ll bite it off.
“Any idea of the total amount of dollars cut?”
Barack Obama’s administration has cut the budget nearly in half for preventing domestic bombings, MailOnline can reveal. Under President George W. Bush, the Department of Homeland Security had $20 million allocated for preventing the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by terrorists working inside the United States. The current White House has cut that funding down to $11 million.

Is it in their interest to let the corrupt MSM endlessly speculate that it could have been "righ-wing" militia types?
Is it in their interest to endlessly comparing this to Timothy McVeigh?
There is no terror. There are no Mohammedan terrorists. We have always been at war with EastAsia.
What a butt-head.
Great comment by a panelist on the Fox News All-Stars last night (did not catch his name, but he was black) that “Obama has this plan to slash the defense budget and to use that money to build up this cradle-to-grave welfare state which would be his legacy. And the damned pesky terrorists keep getting in the way.”
There’s no interest in anything that doesn’t further the “America is racist” meme.
Reminiscent of Clinton who feared retaliation after the first WTC boming and the USS Cole.
He was terrified to go to war with the Islamists. He didn't have a clue about the first place to start.
We were so lucky to have George W. at the helm with 9/11. He was pretty much fearless.
Bush got a lot of flak for not rushing out of the classroom right away when he was told of the attacks. (If he had, he would have been chastised for frightening the children.) He probably had an idea how quickly the Secret Service could arrange for the group to leave the school and knew that it wouldn't help anything to leave the classroom before that.
