The father of Martin William Richard today said he is trying to both grieve the death of his 8-year-old son, who was killed at the Boston Marathon bombings, and help his wife and daughter recover from injuries they suffered during the terrorist attack on Monday.

Me, too. I had been holding it in now for the 24 hours, but this put me over the edge. I would be sobbing audibly if I was not at work...
hearing Megyn Kelly keep talking about how can we explain this to kids, how we can let them know they’re safe, how can we get past this.
Is this woman insane, if the kids are old enough then tell them some bad people killed others, it happens every day, to hear the media act as if this country has never known violence is nuts.
I can’t even imagine people like Kelly , Carlson raising her kids, they are told about homosexuals and cross dressers but not that bad people are out there who hate us and want us dead.
How did we ever get past history and get to this point, spandex, helmets, knee pads and shoulder pads to ride a bicycle, let them think we live in a peaceful la la land. Never play dodgeball or eat no fat or sugar .
Way too many drama queens and most are these women like Kelly and Carlson and now they’re rubbing off on men who are turning girlie.
We’ve been lucky, compare to N Ireland which Boston had been supporting terrorists and giving money and guns to terrorists to use in mainland Britain and N.Ireland.
No death penalty in Massachusetts.
This would have to be made a Federal Crime = terrorist attack.
McVeigh went out of his way to make sure he killed lots of little children. He parked his truck directly in front of the Day-care center in the federal building in OKC.
I have a picture of a son I used to have, about that age, proudly holding up an art project he did for school. I tear up a bit when I look at the picture. But I’m at work so I mustn’t.
People in my area are still recovering from the last tragedy and then this happens AGAIN. Yesterday was supposed to be a day of remembrance. Instead we lose one more child and a bunch of others get their legs blown off. Many still in critical condition. This is it? This is what every day could be like from here on out? Just after people finished saying to their kids that it was rare and “[they] don’t have to worry. go to sleep.” ?
I don’t know what to say. If my job didn’t require it, I’d never act cheerful ever again. I’d rather never smile or ever enjoy anything ever again. There is not a damned thing to be happy about in this world!
That'll do it.
We could also remove ALL weapons from such areas -- even law-enforcement issued ones...(after all, they could fall into the wrong hands if either stolen or if we Ft. Hood "copycat" killers)
My heart is breaking for my countrymen... my heart is as hard as titanium for our enemies.
GOD bless this little boy... he sits with JESUS... and comfort his family and friends. Amen

“Its been one day. How about the media not put their microphones in peoples faces and let them grieve in private.”
How long did King Hussein of America wait before bringing Newtown victims’ families into his campaign?
My he be with the Angels!! RIP, young man!!
His wife and other child are maimed, and his son is dead...how does he have time to talk to media JACKALS???
And a ban on assault backpacks. Put an end to Pressure cooker violence.
I’m sorry.
Why do you criticize this poor man? His wife has shrapnel in her brain, his daughter had her leg amputated and his son is dead.
The reporters were staked out at his house when he came home from the hospital.
I can’t imagine what this family is going through.
Thanks.
WHO the HELL wants to talk to MEDIA when going thru this???? OMG!!
Actually, I’m surprised he didn’t spend the NIGHT at the Hospital!!
The media has been swarming Boston from all over the country. The poor man is probably still in shock and out of his mind with fear and grief. My heart goes out to him.
He’s coming to Boston Thursday.
