12 dead, dozens more injured after two explosions rock Boston marathon finish line

BOSTON — Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.

A federal law-enforcement source told The Post there are at least 12 dead and twice as many injured. Fox News reported that Massachusetts General Hospital was treating 10 people with amputated limbs and all operating rooms were on hold.

Law-enforcement sources said at least the first explosion occurred in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel.

"There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon," The Boston Marathon's official Facebook page read. "We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."

“This changes everything [in New York],’’ one source told The Post. “Everyone’s on high alert. Our marathon was canceled in November. Who knows if that changed someone’s plans?’’

The video at the OP link shows BOTH explosions. About 8-10 seconds after the first (Fairmont Hotel?), you hear the second. Then, in the left of the frame and down the street on the right side, you can see (and hear) the second explosion.

Fox news has a photo looking the opposite direction, with the smoke cloud from the Fairmont explosion in the distance, and in the left foreground you can see the orange glow inside ?Marathon Sports? as the second bomb explodes. The street is still full of runners, and the sidewalk in front of Marathon Sports is lined solid with spectators.

The first explosion was a sharp "POW! (high VOD?), and the second was more of a low BOOM! Difference could be an audio effect from distance and sound diffraction...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it... mudslimes, guarantee it. Of course, 'rats will blame the tea party. But just ask yourself, who has a history of this kind of violence, the tea party, or Zero's pals?

Let's not go crazy blaming the crazy Muzzies at this point, which would make us no better than the MSM nutjobs who wrongly blamed the Aryan Brotherhiood for the killings in Texas.
