BOSTON — Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.
A federal law-enforcement source told The Post there are at least 12 dead and twice as many injured. Fox News reported that Massachusetts General Hospital was treating 10 people with amputated limbs and all operating rooms were on hold.
Law-enforcement sources said at least the first explosion occurred in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel.
"There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon," The Boston Marathon's official Facebook page read. "We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."
“This changes everything [in New York],’’ one source told The Post. “Everyone’s on high alert. Our marathon was canceled in November. Who knows if that changed someone’s plans?’’

This afternoon I was watching coverage on the local Fox TV affiliate, and (it was closed-captioned) saw "TEA TEA" appear on the screen for a few seconds.

There was a facebook page established on Saturday with Best Wishes for the Victims of the Boston Explosion. Someone poste there, “you put this up already?” So, it was hastily taken down today. This woman I know photographed that page. I’m not so sure that facebook will even bother to report that to the feds since they may have someone else in mind to be the prime suspect. False flags are the norm now.

I'm watching Boston's ABC affiliate and they just said a couple of minutes ago that 3 are dead and quite a few are in serious condition in a half dozen Boston hospitals.

Agree - blast very focussed. All injuries to lower extremities. Blast was contained in narrow cone.

OSS NOTES: Clearly, the modus does indicate a well organized effort; the area affected a city block, the devices in synchronized detonation. from the appearance of the blast radius, the debris and the cloud; the bombs were much bigger than speculated as “pipe bombs”. This has all the signature of a Beirut or Damascus type explosion or perhaps something out of the London history books during the “Trouble.”
The cameras were all rolling for the big marathon event. The bombs were tactically placed so that as much as possible of the blast would be caught on tape. From the images, the size of the blast is anything but a “crude device” constructed by an amateur.
The media loves this because they have a twofer. They can lay this all on the GOP and now have a perfect excuse to ignore the Gosnell trial.
