It was no Republican plot, but someone made off with the teleprompter that has been the subject of conservative jokes about President Obama. Also stolen were the presidential seals. And Obamas lectern.
In fact, Eric Brown stole enough equipment from the office of the president that he could have staged his own presidential news conference if he hadnt pawned some of the gear at shops in Prince Georges and Montgomery counties.
In federal court in Virginia on Thursday, the Richmond man, 49, was sentenced to seven years in prison for brazenly taking a truck containing $200,000 worth of audio equipment used by the president.

Shows the lack of security this administration has. Not surprising really.

I don’t think it is because of a ‘lack’ of security, but more of the ‘type’.

A story yesterday indicated that normally a crime like this carries a 3-year sentence. This guy got 7 years. The official reason is that he got 7 years because he committed a crime against our fearless leader he wanted to avoid prosecution for some other stuff.

If this idiot had driven out to California and pawned the stuff there....I think he would have gotten away with the episode. In this case....he just drove twenty miles and found the next pawn shop. Not much in the way of smarts....if you ask me.

While I can't condone theft and I seriously doubt the criminal even knew what he was stealing at the time, I'd commute his sentence for public service. He probably spared us at least fifteen minutes from the incessant nonstop propaganda machine while they had to find a replacement TOTUS.

He was able to be that close to dear leader and the presidential secured area. Very shocking.

Were the words on the teleprompter written phonetically so the twice unconstitutionally elected Kenyan born communist could read them?
