Kerry to North Korea: Don't test missile By BRADLEY KLAPPER | Associated Press 1 hr 18 mins ago
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a stark warning to North Korea on Friday not to test-fire a mid-range missile, while rejecting a new U.S. intelligence report suggesting significant progress in the communist regime's nuclear weapons program.
Kicking off four days of talks in an East Asia beset by increasing North Korean threats, Kerry told reporters in Seoul that Pyongyang and its enigmatic young leader would only increase their isolation if they launched the missile that American officials believe has a range of some 2,500 miles or enough to reach the U.S. territory of Guam.
"If Kim Jong Un decides to launch a missile, whether it's across the Sea of Japan or some other direction, he will be choosing willfully to ignore the entire international community," Kerry told reporters. "And it will be a provocation and unwanted act that will raise people's temperatures."
Kerry said the test would be a "huge mistake" for Kim.

Thankfully, it is North Korea. HOPEfully, they are as inept as they appaear/
I can just hear Kerry now, speaking in a whiny child’s voice: You better too take me seriously, I served in Vietnam you know!
Yes... and like you said... the Norks are the “crazy” ones.
Crazy like foxes.
I still believe this is nothing more than one of North Korea’s periodic “PAY ATTENTION TO ME” temper tantrums. In a few days, it’ll fizzle, and Obama will get unwarranted adulation for having faced down this “bitter enemy.”
..... I can't help but ponder if this whole thing is a choreographed attempt to enable our Dear Leader to rise to the occasion and appear to fearlessly face off with the evil leader of the mighty and powerful DPRK and heroically prevent global thermal nuclear war. Then as we all breath a collective sigh of relief .... show the urgency for the disarming of the world of all nuclear weapons. Then in good trust and to show our seriousness to broker world peace .... move toward the disarming of America.
I heard on NBC this morning that the S. Korean ‘rapper’ Psy is having a concert tonight in Seoul, debuting his newest single. Might this be a ‘target’ for the N. Koreans?
OMG!!! That is so clever!!!
Kerry / Obama are giving fat boy a way out. They say sternly don’t launch. He ignores them and launches a missile into the sea and “shows them”. Obama says we are just glad no one was hurt but tells NK to never do it again. Fat boy thinks he showed the world how tough he is. Incident over.
Boy those N Koreans must be shaking in their boots after this warning from JFNK.
“Oh no, we might raise their temperatures if we launch missile”
I wonder what would be happening if Fred Thompson had had the motivation in his campaign and actually won two terms. I wonder what this situation would be like now.
WHAT A DORK
Team America: World Police (2004)
Kim Jong Il: Hans Brix? Oh no, not you again!
Oh, herro. Great to see you again, Hans!
Hans Blix: Mr. Il, I was supposed to be allowed to inspect your palace today, but your guards won’t let me enter certain areas.
Kim Jong Il: Hans, Hans, Hans! We’ve been frew this a dozen times. I don’t have any weapons of mass destwuction, OK Hans?
Hans Blix: Then let me look around, so I can ease the UN’s collective mind. I’m sorry, but the UN must be firm with you. Let me in, or else.
Kim Jong Il: Or else what?
Hans Blix: Or else we will be very angry with you... and we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.
Kim Jong Il: OK, Hans. I’ll show you. Stand to your reft.
Hans Blix: [Moves to the left]
Kim Jong Il: A rittle more.
Hans Blix: [Moves to the left again]
Kim Jong Il: Good.
[Opens up trap, Hans falls in]
