Mexico
Israel
Israel HAS gun control. It is not much better than Mexican. It is not gun control that makes difference between two nations.
Are Mexican teachers allowed to carry automatic weapons? Or any weapons?
I'm not talking here about reservists, security officers, or anything like that. I'm talking about the average person.
From Wikipedia:
“Mexico has strict gun laws. Mexican citizens and legal residents may purchase new non-military firearms for self-protection or hunting only after receiving approval of a petition to the Defense Ministry, which performs extensive background checks."
and
“It is forbidden in Israel to own any kind of firearm, including air pistols and rifles, without a firearms license."
"The regulation for gun ownership became stricter following the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995. Gun ownership in Israel is considered a privilege and not a right."
Don't take this personal, but I don't totally trust wikipedia. As I understand it, anybody can change any information on a particular entry on wikipedia.
I could be wrong about that. I just find it fascinating in light of the hysteria we're currently subjected to when it comes to the gun control "debate".
No offense taken, I don't totally trust Wikipedia either!
>>>Are Mexican teachers allowed to carry automatic weapons? Or any weapons?<<<
Law enforcement in Mexico is close to non-existance. One with a gun is who set the rules.
Can’t say same about Israel.
Good luck to try to own a handgun there.
Medical, psychological, competence tests, background check, tons of senseless paperworks and months in wait if authorities are to grant you a license. And you have to prove them if you really need a gun.
License is only working for 3 years. You have to start it all again of turn in your gun to government.
Ammo is close to impossible to get as soon as you have a gun. You are initially allowed a little volume of ammo and has to provide records on spent ammo to get replacement.
Mexicans will laugh their butts off.
Even Russia has less gun control than Israel.
In short. Practically, you have a chance to get a firearm permit if you are a security or a bodyguard. You still have slight chance to own a gun if you are a business owner (pawn or jewelery shop). If none of the above - forget it.
None of this has merit in any discussion re the United States of America...What they have or do not have has no bearing on our 2nd Amendment Rights.
E., your perspective would be appreciated.
Blow it out yer ear.
If I want to discuss it, I'll discuss.
And I'd like to see you try and stop me.
Begone, annoying person.
Eagles are a nearly extinct species...especially those in Texas.
Lend me your ear...it is blow out time.
That all being said...there is no discussion on my part with ignorant persons.
Go away. Don’t you have a dog to kick or a wife to beat?
