Has the nation lived down its history of racism and should the law become colorblind?
Addressing two pivotal legal issues, one on affirmative action and a second on voting rights, a divided Supreme Court is poised to answer those questions.
In one case, the issue is whether race preferences in university admissions undermine equal opportunity more than they promote the benefits of racial diversity. Just this past week, justices signaled their interest in scrutinizing affirmative action very intensely, expanding their review as well to a Michigan law passed by voters that bars preferential treatment to students based on race. Separately in a second case, the court must decide whether race relations in the South, particularly have improved to the point that federal laws protecting minority voting rights are no longer warranted.....

It’s loooooong past time for ALL racial quotas and set-asides to be dumped.
Hard.
Something tells me this will cause RIOTS in the streets....
SC Roberts to Obama: “how would you like me to vote, master?”
What? Obama and Maddow promised you that if you supported the perversion that you knew was wrong that it would help you??
Did ya think that voting for Obama would result in him hiring blacks too?
BAWHAHAH. SUCKERS!
Will Roberts get cold feet and join the Libs at the last minute again?
Will Roberts get cold feet and join the Libs at the last minute again?
Equal treatment and protection under the law? What a unique idea!
“Something tells me this will cause RIOTS in the streets....”
Of course it will - Black racialist hucksters and con artists have been milking their colossal “civil rights” perks and privileges for decades.
They’ve come to believe that a constant policy of special treatment and set-asides for Blacks is written in stone.
The appeals court gave a really bizarre reason for their ruling on the AA case. (Its too expensive for AA supporters to win by legitimate means)
>>The court says the ban puts an extraordinary burden on those who have to mount a long expensive campaign if they want to protect it.<<

The blackmailers will order Roberts to join the racist progressives on this one. Preferential treatment for “minorities” will continue—just as it has for the half century since the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Minorities will soon no longer be minorities and blacks are now the racists in our society, but “affirmative action” will continue.
I could understand this better if someone explained to me the benefits of Racial Diversity.
I hope the homeys riot, I find it entertaining knowing their cash cow is now being sucked dry by the mexicans.
“Theyve come to believe that a constant policy of special treatment and set-asides for Blacks is written in stone.”
That’s why Scalia dubbed portions of the Voting Rights Act that presume certain states may continue to act in a racist manner an entitlement. Because once these acts are in place, Liberals and Democrats believe they are entitled to be in place forever. Of course, Scslia was called a racist” because any dissenting opinion to laws which discriminate for the benefit of blacks are racist. The truth will only prevail if people stop cowering in the face of that word. Laugh at them, and call them the racists that they are for using laws to disadvantage innocent white people.
There aren’t any. Actually, many studies show that blacks do better at traditionally black colleges. So diversity actually causes harm.
Doen’t forget Asians.
