There's essentially NO ammo available for retail sale in Colorado. None at all. Not in popular calibers like 9mm, .40 S&W and .45ACP.
The fascist Obammunists have locked up the domestic supply and are shutting down imports.
Why the hell dont we conservatives set up a NEW ammo manufacturer in Texas and then refuse to sell to the FedGov. Maybe even make it a co-op, with member-owners getting first dibs on production.
Im sure we could get any number of offshore companies to build us a turnkey ammo factory in Texas. Im sure ammo companies in Italy, China, Korea, Israel, Hungary, or the Czech Republic would be delighted to do this. I bet it could be done for under 50 million. I'm sure a few of us have contacts with a few people, who together, could easily come up with amount of money.
Right now, 9mm ammo impossible to buy in Colorado, so Id start there.
I used my M39 and questionable eyes/glasses, with Wolf ammo.
Just checked your website for primers, All Out. Sorry.
Buddy of mine keeps XX 1000’s in his store room.
Just large rifle and shotgun primers though.
You had me until the....”fifty million”. I presumed that was dollars.
Zinc makes a great bullet! Hard, self lubricating, and consistent. Not sure how easy to cast, but never wanted to get into rolling my own slugs......may have to rethink that one.
“....only what ya see pal...”
I just found this formula for percussion caps. No lead, but it does have antimony. The interesting thing here is that you cam make potassium chlorate much easier than you can make a fulminate.
17 grains of Potassium Chlorate
9 grains of Antimony Sulfide
3 grains of the Sulfur/Sodium Bicarbonate powder
4 grains of fine sand (passes through a 40-mesh screen).
All I can donate is computer skill.
Here’s a customer!!!
Please put me on the mailing list.
If we’re not rolling our own already, start (will be difficult). Look at getting a muzzle loader also. Not a rapid fire tool, but they work, and components are still to be found (as of last week anyway)at local Dick’s.
YMMV
KYPD
Good idea.
But with the way the government is going right now...
It might be better to just get a bunch of re-loaders working together and sell it to folks through barter and trade.
Just a thought.
You are Customer #13-00-AA-0000-001.
Dick’s is off limits since I took my four year old in there and Aerosmith’s “Big Ten Inch” was playing over the PA.
Besides, for the price of a muzzle loader and all the fixin’s, you could just set aside more ammo, and get more shots out of it too boot!
Here’s some sources. I just got .45cal ACP 165gr HP from Co-Bon/Blazer (usually get 230gr). Wilson Combat has ammo avail, too.

” I bet it could be done for under 50 million.”
Let me write you a check.
Sorry about your “muzak” experience.
rgrgrg on the ammo vs muzzle loader.
Picked one up and have had big fun. Shoots straight, and can still get components.
Good luck,
Stay alert.
Works for me.
