Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, issued some words of advice for fellow GOPers: Get in the 21st century with same-sex-marriage issues.
We do have a platform, and we adhere to that platform, Mr. Priebus said in a USA Today video. But it doesnt mean that we divide and subtract people from our party who favor gay marriage.
I dont believe we need to act like Old Testament heretics, he said in the USA Today video. Rather, Republicans have to strike a balance between principle and grace and respect.
His statements come as the U.S. Supreme Court is due to hear two cases on gay marriage one on a California-voted ban on same-sex marriage, and the other on the legalities of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which bans the federal government from giving marriage benefits to same-sex couples.
His statements also come at a time when politicians from both sides of the political aisle are renouncing their past objections to gay marriage. On the Republican side, Sen. Rob Portman an Ohio conservative with traditional values just flipped on gay marriage, in part, he said, because of the recent revelations of homosexuality by one of his sons.

As I stated at a recent County GOP Exec meeting:
“We already have a party of the Junior High students, more concerned with popularity than principle.
We either stand for something or we stand for nothing.
We gather more respect and support by STANDING OUR GROUND.
We lost the White House in 2012 because we moved AWAY from our principles”
"The GOP will adopt our socialized medicine AND gay marriage. Trust me."
Oh Reince Priebus, would it SURPRISE you that the #1 (number 1) tv show in the USA right now is all about the #1 (number 1) best-selling book of ALL TIME, the Holy Bible?
Same here, I too, am an INDY.
Also at a time when the number 1 tv show is about THE BIBLE!
The gay agenda is all about destroying religious freedom. Theyd love nothing better than to burn the bible as a hate book and make it a crime to speak out about their perverted life styles, er, death styles.

Or, run the Church underground so as to be entirely invisible to anyone. I remember traveling through then communist E. Germany back in the late 1980’s and all the crosses had been removed from the buildings.
Is that FU Reince Priebus or FU Republican Party or both?
Isaiah 5:20, 21, from the New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition:
“Ah, you who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!
Ah, you who are wise in your own eyes,
and shrewd in your own sight!”
I must right now I see little hope in winning on this one now.
Only one side showed up for the fight. Dems have been working on this for well over a decade and the GOP gave up after getting Clinton to sign DOMA, (hell: half the Bush admin was for gay liberation)
Instead of this FNC is talking about the sequester and government wasteful spending and Obama-care, what it sees as low hanging fruit, while activist channel MSNBC is on these two gay rights SCOTUS cases 24/7. They are downright gleeful.
Sure, we are seeing more posts on the subject but its too little too late.
If ‘orientation’ is really like gender and race then its over. In fact if most people believe it is then its still over. That was where the war was lost.
Re: Talk show hosts refering to, referencing or segment topic picking the voting down of God at the Demo-Com convention...Steve Deace talked about it
Don’t receive Deace here in central Wisconsin. Most of the stations I monitor carry Rush, Levin, Savage, Hewett,Cunningham,Humphries, plus locals. Allmost all if out of state are 50,000 watt blow torches. Including the 3 in Texas, plus Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinati,St Louis, and KC. None of those guys ever mention those episodic votes nor do any of the local talkies.
We need a socially conservative third party.I have stopped giving to the Rino party.
This is a fail on every level.
Either the GOPe is with the commies, or they're suicidal.
The best thing that could happen to the GOP is to dump Reince,Tokyo Rove and last but not least Jaun McCain.

Hannity had a Rev. Oliver White on his radio show yesterday. The good Rev said he was a minister for a black church.
He said if Jesus were alive today his thinking on this issue would have evolved and he would admit he made a mistake when he said marriage was between a man and a woman.
Don't give me this 21st Century crap. I will not revel in the filth of homosexuality just to be "with it!"
As I posted on my FB page today: To all my FB friends, please note that I have un- friended those of you who have shown support for homosexuals and homosexual marriage. Should any of my remaining friends take umbrage with my decision in re-affirming this stand against homosexuality, please take the time to "un-friend" me and save me the effort and angst of losing another friend to the god of "With-it-ness" and the Father of Lies.
BRAVO! BRAVO!
That guy was A PITIFUL EXCUSE for a “minister”.
His biblical knowledge was about a millimeter deep.
And his “logic” was ridiculous. He had no “source authority” but was basing all his conclusions off of contemporary “morality”.
“If orientation is really like gender and race then its over. In fact if most people believe it is then its still over. That was where the war was lost.”
You mean sinful “lifestyle” choice?
