Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, issued some words of advice for fellow GOPers: Get in the 21st century with same-sex-marriage issues.
We do have a platform, and we adhere to that platform, Mr. Priebus said in a USA Today video. But it doesnt mean that we divide and subtract people from our party who favor gay marriage.
I dont believe we need to act like Old Testament heretics, he said in the USA Today video. Rather, Republicans have to strike a balance between principle and grace and respect.
His statements come as the U.S. Supreme Court is due to hear two cases on gay marriage one on a California-voted ban on same-sex marriage, and the other on the legalities of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which bans the federal government from giving marriage benefits to same-sex couples.
His statements also come at a time when politicians from both sides of the political aisle are renouncing their past objections to gay marriage. On the Republican side, Sen. Rob Portman an Ohio conservative with traditional values just flipped on gay marriage, in part, he said, because of the recent revelations of homosexuality by one of his sons.

let him know as we have just done.
the GOP let in liberals, liberaltarians in to spout their communist agenda like homo marriage and now they tell us to change to suit them , like hell
This is not a party I can support
Can we stick this number up Jim
202-863-8500 and all of us tell the RNC to either adopt conservative stances or they can go to hell.
Sarah Col West and others either lead the party or they make a new party just for conservatives.
Letting in liberaltariansand others only to spout their agenda was he down fall.
Again Jim can we have a call to let them now by phone and mail where conservatives stand on here.
this is an attack on religious freedom and if this goes ahead then churches and adoption agencies will be sued.
Well I;ve had it
I could nto careless if we lived in 2150
You don’t have to ask me to call. Each election in recent history has been more critical than the last in terms of continuing freedom in America and we’re now getting mighty desperate. If the Republicans (GOP-e RINOs) blow another one, it may very well be their last shot at it.
Great quotes and oh so fitting.
Good, but personally I’m not going third party if it simply means electing another radical Dem.
No problem.
The Media would never try to sow seeds of discord among the GOP and its natural allies. /s
Now the GOP says we can’t talk about the Bible. Good grief!
Reince is a “ special kind of stupid “
You mean Prance Reibus?
“If I’m going to get into the exegesis of biblical texts at the level of the original languages and how individual words are to be interpreted...”
If you’re going to teach people about the meanings of words in the Bible, especially that of sodomy, shouldn’t you know what the words mean? Especially if they may be speaking directly to you?
Again, the traditional definition of sodemy includes any unnatural sex act including anal and oral sex. This includes the modern Hebrew definition:
sod·om·y [sod-uh-mee]
noun
1. anal or oral copulation with a member of the opposite sex.
2. copulation with a member of the same sex.
3. bestiality
Anyone having oral sex is a sodomite every bit as sinful as the homosexuals.
Sure, it may be bothersome to us that other “unnatural” acts are condemned under the heading of sodomy, but you cannot dismiss or blather your way out of the fact that the bible may also be referring to you or me or others on this site who refer derisively to “sodomites”.
This doesn’t make it right, nor am I defending gay marrage or homosexuality, but rather trying lend perspective and maybe help the overly self-righteous among us reflect a little bit on the sinful state of man.
Thats just FABULOUS. YAY for the "Reince Revolution"
YES.... Fabulous, indeed, LOL
bump
But, indeed, it might send them all to hell.
That stood out to me too. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Yep, once they’ve normalized fudge packing, they’ll move on to something else. The GOP, if it exists, will have to cave to that.
The two central reasons GOP-e turned on conservatives is the butt action agenda and open borders.
