Great CEO. Alienate over 50% of the population. Do they teach that to people who get their MBAs?
I had a cow-orker who was taking business courses in her spare time with the goal of getting an MBA degree. (She was a real self-starter and a pretty good sysadmin.) At one point she told us about taking a one-day seminar for managers. I just had to ask...
“Is that the one where they stick the needle in your head and suck out half your brain?”

Guess Starbucks is countinig on low information customers.
I used to go to Starbucks every day. I stopped going about a year ago and do not miss it one bit.
Boycott? I am all IN!
Schultz, we can do more than not buying shares, selling ones we own and patronizing your business. However, you're not concerned, you're INVINCIBLE!
FWIW, the inlaws have a former coffee taste tester in their mist where they reside. His synopsis? Starbucks is awful, Dunkin is good coffee...
Since the day that Starbucks refused some troops a bag or two or coffee to send to their mates in Afghanistan, i have not bought a “FourBucks”!
Through the CEO stating, “You had better not do that!”, he has forgotten one basic principle of business.
The customer is king, or says the guy on “Restaurant Stakeout”.
Folks vote with their feet.
“i’m walkin’ .. yeah, yeah, yeah, i’m walkin’...”
Maybe he has a “vested” interest in queers.
I agree with him about staying away, I will stay out of StarButts.
then why did the stockholder in the article express dismay at Sbux’ lower revenues since the CEO’s support? Wonder if the CEO is gay or his company is about to implode. TheSbux products are terrible for health.
Nor I. I've bought their beans in the past - but from now on I'll look to the many other vendors of quality coffee beans.
He don’t have to worry about getting my money. obama already got it.
I’ll oblige Starbocks by not giving them any of my money.
See how they fall.
Ok, no problem. Now I’ll make it a point not to buy their stuff.
Starbucks sells a product that is a luxury, and more expensive than ordinary coffee. Their lower sells could be due to all sorts of things related to our down economy.
Now, if the CEO of a more family-oriented company like a clothing store said something similar, I could believe that their sales would be affected, but not a company like Starbucks, or Apple. You know, an image company that liberals love.
I’ve had a fagbucks gift card in my wallet for years that I got at work. I’ve never made it in to use the card...glad I read this, now I can take it outside and set it on fire. :D
Look for news that will say something like Starbucks is shutting down hundreds of stores or doing a merger or something like that. This is the kiss of death a la JCPenney. McDonalds and the like must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Except that we are in an economy that wants value not causes.Liberals are especially cheap. Look for stories that says that Starbucks is shutting stores etc. There is so much competition that offers coffee for so much less. That is the problem. Outside the coffee Starbucks products are terrible. Sbux is a one trick pony and this economy will not treat it well.
