Attorneys for George Zimmerman have filed a new defense witness list, and it includes more than 130 people. Among them: Trayvon Martin's mother and father, their attorney Benjamin Crump, former Sanford police Chief Bill Lee Jr. and former State Attorney Norm Wolfinger.

Is this really how corrupt our prosecutors are?

Woo Hoo!
DeeDee had a chance to be a You Tube sensation
and 130 seat cushions disappeared in the blink of an eye after that list was filed.
I smell a rat and it's wearing a black robe.
Judge Nelson knew of the importance of this deposition and yet she made herself inaccessible on that particular day -- and Bernie knew it.
It was pre-arranged between Bernie and Nelson.
The defense is doing a good job of burdening and vexing the prosecution and of building a record that will make any conviction subject to appeal on numerous grounds. The fundamental difficulty for the prosecution is that their case is weak on the facts but political and highly publicized so that it will have major consequences for them. Like everyone else, prosecutors do not like to lose, but the course and result of this case will leave a permananent mark on their careers and lives. A win would put a promotion or a major job offer or even a judgeship within reach, while a loss means they are damaged goods.
Then their successors can quietly drop the charges.
They would rather hang George Zimmerman to placate the mob than seek justice.
Where the heck is the “conservative” fla gov on stopping this farce?
If a Florida politician were to intervene to get this case thrown out summarily, then the Federal DOJ would step in and make a Federal case. Zimmerman is probably far better off with the current proceedings as long as they come to a natural conclusion.
I suspect that this may be the only reason that Zimmerman did not make a pleading under “stand your ground”. The length of the proceedings gives George a chance to have cooler heads consider the evidence. He is less likely to get railroaded by the Feds later.

It happened in Georgia last weekend...but there will be no t-shirts printed or slogans copyrighted.

Not to mentione having their name turned into a verb. Do any of these idiot prosecutors want to Nifong an innocent man?
Had there been a Neighborhood Watch Program in Brunswick as there was in the condominium, that little 13 month old white Hispanic toddler might still be alive.
That is an excellent point.
If Zimmerman is acquitted or his case is dismissed at the State level, the Feds will file a criminal civil rights charge against him.
My guess is that the trial will discredit the prosecution and the Trayvone is a victim crowd and result in an acquittal. Moreover, the airing of the facts in open court will deracialize the controversy. Not counting the burden on George Zimmerman, that is probably the best result that we can hope for as to the wider public interest.
“It was pre-arranged between Bernie and Nelson.”
No doubt! I’m sitting under the Tree reading all the comments. Back later.
