Senator ___________ I am writing this comment to you today to ask you to vote against S. 679 when the bill comes up for a vote. The bill is a violation of the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 14th Amendments to the Constitution. The bill calls for the registration of all guns and gun owners. Such coercion would disuade some citizens from purchasing firearms as they see fit; also, the Registration section of S.679 is an outright invasion of the privacy and anti-descrimination rights that American citizens enjoy. I am a gun owner, that fact does not make me responsible the actions of people who commit crimes with firearms, and persuant to the 5th and 6th Amendments to the Constitution, I can not be punished for said actions without due process.
Thank you for your time and consideration,

I used it to write my Senators and the spell checker caught it.
So you advocate sending misspelled letters to Congress that make us look ignorant?

You are familiar with the term “typo” yes? It happens. If they dismiss the argument because of misspelled words, they are revealing their character or the lack of it.
Such things need not be perfect. Have a nice day!

A litte overdone don’t you think? I understand the point you make, but you take it too far. There were three words misspelled, not the entire comment. Sheesh! LOL

All I was doing was giving people a clean copy to use.
You're the one who took exception.

“does not make me responsible FOR the the actions of people...” If you’re going to make a clean copy, make sure you get it all. ;)
To: txnativegop
So it’s better to send one without misspellings?

I just went for misspellings.
Don't fix the grammar or they'll call you a Nazi.

I would prefer it, but the original was typed on the email comment section of Senator Warner; I did not notice a spell check function either. Believing as I did about the correctness of the spelling, I sent it to Warner.
I personally prefer properly spelled documents, however, I doubt seriously that Warner’s staff will notice it, and if they do oh well. I am sure that my comment was among the best spelled and gramatically correct comments they receive.
