Freeper Doctor Raoul Has Died

Doctor Raoul died Saturday of a rare form of cancer. He was 58.

Raoul's family contacted us this morning to see if they could find out more about his activities as an activist.

This is such a shock. His family is looking for photos and stories about him.

He is and always will be a Free Republic icon.

He kind of fell off the face of the earth about 2 or 3 years ago now. All attempts we made to reach him failed.

If you have photos please contact me. Please feel free to post stories and I will make sure the family sees this thread.

Thanks Pod Kristinn call me to tell me the sad news. I remember when he came to Olney and had a gas mask on with a sign that stated “hippies Smell” . He was a hoot and a great provider to the BBQ’s at Walter Reed for the Wounded Warriors. And brought Hoagies from Philly to the Warriors.
He was a kind and generous Man.

Wow, this is horrible news. I still remember honking and waving to Doctor Raul when he used to wear his Clinton mask and stand on the corner at the bottom of City Line Ave.

Good God...you just brought back a memory...I was in DC on business early 98??? and went to the WH...I had just discovered FR Thanksgiving 1997 and I saw this guy holding a sign in front of the WH...it was Joe V...I was living in FL and doing solo protesting on my own down there, so he was a kindred spirit...my God, that only seems like a few years ago.

Ok, I'll post a story.....

In fayetteville, NC, Dr Raoul was delivering a rousing speech when the skinhead Code Pink thug slipped up behind me and gave me a severe blow to the top of the head.

The good Dr Raoul is at top center, blue button down coller, at his podium making his point with a hand gesture

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Raul attacking the clintons off the shoulder of the road. I watched signs glitter in the dark near the white house gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
