GOP strategist Karl Rove says he can imagine a Republican candidate in the next presidential campaign supporting gay marriage.

The statement from the former adviser to President George W. Bush appears to acknowledge that opposition to gay marriage has waned in some conservative circles. …

Perhaps we should concentrate on setting up Tea Parties on the state level and emulate the Conservative Party of New York, which supports conservative Republicans but runs its own nominees in races where the Democrat and Republican candidates are both too liberal.

Any GOP-er that is even slightly wobbly on favoring this stomach-churning degeneracy of homosex marriage is frankly no better than Obama in my book. Caving on budgets, Obamacare, amnesty... and now contemplating jumping into the bathhouse with the pervs! I don’t even recognize the Party I supported my whole life. They sure don’t seem to share any of my values. Heck, they seem to be at all-out war with my values!

It’s gay marriage this and gay marriage that, ALL THE TIME. So people say, when they hear it for the umpteenth time, that OF COURSE gay marriage is normal. It’s mentioned on TV all the time, is it not? The press is influencing public opinion for the nth time and being damn successful at it.

Watch for an explosion of the gayness rate. If kids grow up being indoctrinated that having two mommies or two daddies is totally normal then my prediction is that the number of homosexuals is going to explode.

Anything but continuing down this dead end. The GOP already did an autopsy on itself, if that isn’t enough clue that the acronym is as good as RIP I don’t know what is.

Rove is an avowed atheist. He hates anything connected with Christianity and conservatism. Hiring Rove is the one thing that makes me think GWB is an idiot. Rove didn’t get Bush elected, Hillarycare did and John Kerry got Bush re-elected. Why do you think Rove picks Holy Week to startstirring his crap?

I have never liked or trusted Rove. My wish is that he would go away.

He’s sticking it to Social Conservatives not the Tea Party this time.

Rove is going to destroy the GOP by pushing it Center Left.

Oh, Good Lord...the context is an AP story (yeah, like the AP is really gonna be trusted?) AND it was a singular comment, without elaboration, in a “panel discussion”.

Come on people.

The comment was bad enough as a stand-alone statement; no alleged context can fix it. And besides, he knew exactly what the liberal media would do with it. That bomb can only hurt conservatives.

Rove is going to destroy the GOP by pushing it Center Left.

It will either follow his lead to the left and become irrelevant, or the Cruz/Paul wing will take over and revive it. Either way, Rove is surfing the wave of the past.

America will suffer the same fate as we did in Canada. After decades of multi-party opposition to homosexual “marriage”, the governing Liberal party rammed it through Parliament in 2005 after a cabal of media, academics, special interest groups, judges and politicians perpetrated a fraud on the Canadian people. Phony polls, non-stop media coverage of a supposed “shift” in the views of Canadians, the failure of the Liberal party to unequivocally state that it was in favour of the abomination, and a supposedly “conservative” opposition party that refused to make the issue a key issue in the 2004 election. Once the establishment coalesces around an idea it is almost impossible to stop it. And the Republican establishment is clearly in the process of capitulating. It’s not just Rove, just read National Review Online and you’ll see how the pro-homosexual charge is being led by Jonah Goldberg, the founding editor of NRO, who has been undermining the conservative opposition to homosexual marriage for over a decade.

“GOP strategist Karl Rove..”

Interesting turn of phraseology.

For the guy who thought his anointed one - Romney - would win, to his series of near misses with the last incompetent to sit in the White House before the current boob stole the elections - twice.

Gee. I can’t imagine the GOP looking at all the votes their pro gay candidate got and thinking “We can do this”.

Nope. Sure can’t.

I will not be voting for a gay marriage supporting Republican, and neither will I be voting against a Democrat, they’ll be indistinguishable!

Early on in the primaries, demand that candidates assert that until nomination, and if they are nominated, that they will under no circumstances employ Karl Rove, or any of his peers or underlings, in any capacity.

And if elected, the party will officially declare him to be “personna non grata”.
