GOP strategist Karl Rove says he can imagine a Republican candidate in the next presidential campaign supporting gay marriage.
The statement from the former adviser to President George W. Bush appears to acknowledge that opposition to gay marriage has waned in some conservative circles.

No, they are not conservative circles. And never were.

It looks like the GOOBers might be going after the “gay marriage” supporter vote.

We have real problems in this country.
Gay married fudge packing is somewhere around number 1,025 out of 1,024 in importance.
Shove it, gays.
Oh, forgot....

If that’s true, then they have lost my vote forever. I will not change my values to win an election, and I will never listen to another word which comes out of Rove’s mouth.

Rove is aping what other phoney conservatives like him have done and tentatively climbed aboard the media-generated gay marriage 'bandwagon'. Political hustlers like Rove don't give a rat's patoot about morality. They just want to keep living large off of 'politics' Thus, if backing 'gay marriage' seems like a vote-getter, they'll advise some politician client running for election to get behind it, integrity be damned.
Karl Rove is the clear enemy of conservatism and his comments have become irrelevant and often flat-out lies, uttered for sheer political expediency.

The RATS and Media (but I repeat myself) have pulled of a really slick rope-a-dope on this issue. The go out and repeat the mantra of “The Republican Party is done for if it doesn’t support gay marriage”, knowing full well that this is something that traditionalists and conservatives cannot do.
At best, they split the R party and continue to win elections as a result. At worst they actually succeed in getting the R Party to support gay marriage, and that enhances the support from there base, who have absolutely no intention of ever voting for a Republican no matter way.
Win-Win for the RATS and Media. R Party is roped and beaten either way.

This guy Rove is one of the best deals the Democrats ever had. He is the very model of extracting money from a class of people to ensure that class of people loses. Or even becomes enslaved. Simply uncanny. Imagine convincing mushy Republicans that he is actually working for Republican victories when he is doing exactly the opposite. For that, I give him a grudging degree of Machiavellian credit. Like I give the owners of Solyndra credit.
As long as Rove is given a shred of credibility, the GOP will never win another national election. I can’t state it any simpler.

Good idea Karl. Be sure it’s your candidate and get the message out right at the beginning before the first primary.

Rove thinks that approving gay marriage will be the end of gay agenda.
It will just be the beginning.
