The nationwide shortage of ammunition has left many police departments scrambling to get their hands on the necessary rounds - with some even bartering among each other.
Meanwhile, Rep. Timothy Huelskamp (R-Kansas) says the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has failed to respond to multiple members of Congress asking why DHS bought more than 1.6 billion rounds in the past year.
Police Chief Cameron Arthur of Jenks, Oklahoma says, "Ammunition and assault weapons in general have skyrocketed...In addition to the fact, not only is it a lot more expensive, but the time to get it could be six months to a year, or in some cases even longer."
When you do not submit a budget that is capable of being passed by congress, there is a little problem with those emergency spending measures they have been doing to us for the last 4 years...
There is No real congressional oversight, much less the application of the Bona Fide Need clause...
So this is the way the DHS has gotten away with this till now...The light was turned on and the cockroaches are scattering...
We still have to nail down the rifles, vehicles, and now these armored checkpoint booths that has cropped up in the last few days...
Personally I believe this exposure is all too late to do anything about...
Congress can cut off funding to the DHS and the DHS can sell its military arsenal to fund itself.
My local shop has all of the 7.62 x 38 Nagant revolver ammo and 6.5 Creedmore that anyone could ever want!
Other than that, forget it.
>>Better drive safely.<<
LOL... that has already happened. Cop asked *where I had been*....told him *I don’t have to answer that, do I?* He said *no you don’t* .....then he proceeds to ask me again! To which I replied *we’ve already been over that, no? He scuffed off to his cruiser sulking. Meh.
Our little town has so many police, they are everywhere looking for the slightest infraction, pulling people over to justify their existence. Makes my blood boil. I’m glad they don’t have ammo....next time I get stopped, I’ll make sure to tease them about it.
They are getting ready to kill each other as all big government types end up doing after their financial ponzi schemes collapse. See World War II for an example. My guess is quite a few European nations are building up their militaries right now under the radar. Probably paying for the weapons with US debt notes that will never ever be made good.
I’m not suprised he would do this and I will not be surprised if he starts mass murder with the civilian army he’s building.
I lost my surprise factor when the pervert instituted the current sexual molestation program at the airports and Americans gladly presented their children’s and grannies’ croches to pervert Federal agents in the name of catching Islamic terrorists.
**** “Probably paying for the weapons with US debt notes that will never ever be made good.” *****
Yep .... Now is a good time to buy on credit... hard assets are soon to be much more valuable than paper (or fiat money)
Not just them but us too
TT
All the useful idiots will be shocked to find out they will be some of the first people in the cross hairs.
Yes, this is true the Little Socialist Bastard in the White House is trying to disarm us and using our tax money.
Welcome to the party.
Hysteria \Hys*te"ri*a\, n. [NL.: cf. F. hyst['e]rie. See Hysteric.] (Med.) A nervous affection, occurring almost exclusively in women, in which the emotional and reflex excitability is exaggerated, and the will power correspondingly diminished, so that the patient loses control over the emotions, becomes the victim of imaginary sensations, and often falls into paroxism or fits. [1913 Webster] Note: The chief symptoms are convulsive, tossing movements of the limbs and head, uncontrollable crying and laughing, and a choking sensation as if a ball were lodged in the throat. The affection presents the most varied symptoms, often simulating those of the gravest diseases, but generally curable by mental treatment alone. Hysteric
Amen! Apparently this is what Biden meant when he said they didn’t want to be outgunned. I’d rather the people have ammo than some cop who will do the fed’s bidding.
They sure could try...
I doubt that would be the course Congress takes at this time...I believe they need to make sure there is full discloser, and then go from there...
This may take years...And this administration is in NO hurry to confirm anything they do under the radar...
And we may never get the full story either...
I personally believe we are still in a good position to be in as citizens (Law Abiding)...The Administration and DHS are just trying to keep the real potential resistance off-balance and chasing smoke screens...
Worrying too much about the numbers. and not the details of pre-positioning, intent of use, personnel trained (indoctrinated) assigned...
Look at it this way...You still got yer stuff for now, I seriously doubt you will be one of the ones giving them up without a serious dissagreement...
You are not alone...
World War II, which followed the Great Depression, rewrote a lot of nation boundaries. Also created some new nations. We are in the later days of our depression and are starting to see the internal civil conflicts erupting. These are followed by the nation to nation regional conflicts.
Yes,
Yes,
and YES!
I tend to agree. You can't even find the smokey, steel cased Ruskie junk at shows.
“You can’t even find the smokey, steel cased Ruskie junk at shows.”
That reminds me....I bought a case of that junk a few years ago and could not shoot them in my S&W 40cal.....I recently bought a HiPoint 40cal carbine and shot a box with no jams and put good groupings down range. Glad I kept em for practice range since other ammo is so expensive and hard to find.
Im sure there must be ammo makers out there who could put consumers first before they sell to government.True. Someone with some time on their hands should google up the contact information for few manufacturers, make some inquiries and see what they say.
Have Congress declare 90% of the stash surplus and sell them by auction on the open market in 1000 round lots.
