Karl Rove sought to turn the tables Sunday on Sarah Palin, jabbing her for stepping down early as Alaska governor, a day after she blistered the GOP consultant in a speech at CPAC.
Palin launched a broadside against the GOP establishment on Saturday at the gathering of conservatives, but directed her sharpest aim at Rove, reports Huffington Post.
“If these experts who keep losing elections and keep getting rehired and getting millions — if they feel that strong about who gets to run in this party, then they should buck-up or stay in the truck,” Palin told CPAC Saturday, according to the publication. “The Architect can head on back to the great Lone Star State and put their name on some ballot — though for their sakes, I hope they give themselves a discount on their consulting services.”
Rove, who was nicknamed “The Architect” by President George W. Bush, pushed back against Palin on Fox News, said the publication.
“I appreciate encouragement I ought to go home to Texas and run for office and, it would be news if I did to have her support. But I don’t think I’m a good candidate — a kind of balding, fat guy,” Rove said, as reported by Huffington Post. “And second, if I did run for office and win, I would serve out my term and I wouldn't leave office midterm.”
Palin resigned as governor in 2009, halfway through her first term in office.

This is what irks so many Republicans...they eat their own and at this rate the dems are always going to win..what is with Rove anyway..maybe he is green with envy?
The objectives are:
1. Send a message to the GOP-e
2. Send a message to Rove’s PAC donors
3. Send a message to candidates that accepting any support from Rove’s PAC will cost them dearly in the primaries
Gov. Palin resigned during her first term.
Thanks, that was precise and clear, she is doing some good work and as usual, is asserting leadership.
When the obituary of Conservatism is written, it’s murderer will be determined to be karl Rove.
And it’s not just Palin who will be warning primary candidates of the consequences of accepting any form of support from Rove’s PAC.
I’d say from the inane responses from vet6387, either his attention span is that of a flea or, he like Rove. are challenged by confident people who not only don’t need their advice but aren’t impressed by their opinions of themselves.
Conservatism is much larger than a gnat like Rove. The obit will be Rove’s not Conservatism.
I saw her speak at CPAC and she could have left out this part about Rove and done just as well. It just gave him the opportunity to come out of the shadows and get some publicity.
“Karl Rove sought to turn the tables Sunday on Sarah Palin.....”
He failed.
Rove is a joke. B/c Rove didn’t have a strategery to deal with the DUI story, W lost the poplular vote over a weekend in 2000. He barely beat Kerry is 04 and lost the Congress in 06 - EPIC FAIL.
ah. okay
thank you.
Disagree.. she said what needed to be said...good on her.. I have been waiting for a man in the GOP to do as much.
Do I detect that Sarah SEVERELY RED-ASSED Mister Rove?
ahhhh yes the wisdom of the man who left the party far worse off because of him and his ‘brilliant’ policies. Karl is a money grubbing fat slob who wants to destroy conservatism....period
I have no idea why this man is still on the political landscape?
Because FOX news and the rest of the GOP establishment wants to brainwash you into believing their crap!
A worthless target attracts no fire.
Maybe you should do a little reading up on what lead her to leave office(quit if you like) before you post such a stupid comment.
