Republican strategist Karl Rove responded to the harsh comments former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin had for him at CPAC on Fox News Sunday this morning. Before taking a shot at Palin for not completing her term as governor, he said that Palin was actually in agreement with him on former Senate candidate Todd Akin and that he actually works pro bono for American Crossroads.
[....]
Rove continued that Palin endorsed in primaries and got involved in other races around so he didnt understand what the problem was with other people doing the same thing. He defended his work for American Crossroads saying he doesnt take a dime from my work with them and actually pays all of his travel expenses for the group out of his own pocket. Im thought Sarah Palin was about encouraging grassroots activity. Im a volunteeer, said Rove.
Then he took a shot across her bow.
I appreciate her encouragement that I ought to go home to Texas and run for office. I would be enthused if I ran for office to have her support but I dont think, Im a particularly good candidate, a balding fat guy. Second of all, if I did run for office and win I would serve out my term and I wouldnt leave office midterm, said Rove.

We have all the pigs we need in Utah.
Get over it.
What a cheap shot at Palin.
We all know why she left her post as Gov early. The dems in her state were continuously filing suit against her for all sorts of misconduct; etc. All of the charges were proven false (which the media conveniently forgot to mention - and somebody should have told Rove). I’m sure Rove never wanted Palin to run with McCain in the first place; and he also knew Palin was added because McCain was such a bad choice.
Also, I’m put off by the fact that Rove is so body conscious - thinking that a person’s weight(he doesn’t mind Chistie’s), height, or color, or being bald has anything to do with anything.
The problem is: Rove is part of the “elite” and we’re sick and tired of them .. so Rove should go home and try a new line of work. His choices for the next president are either Christie or Bush .. and I don’t think the repubs are going to fall for either of them.
And .. just as an aside, recently McCain’s spouting off about Ted Cruz and Rand Paul really angered a lot of people. I noticed that just a few days later McCain was on all the shows touting his release from the Hanoi Hilton. Whenever he gets in trouble, he always pulls out the military service gig and throws it in our face; as though that pardons all his terrible behavior since leaving the military.
Hey Tokyo Rove, STFU! As Mc Arthur said; JUST GO AWAY!
What a putz...
And why should we jump onboard with his victory effort???
We’ve lost the last two big one’s because of him...
One more strike, and I feel like we’ll be out, game over...
Karl threw out a backhanded slur that even he knows does not accurately portray the post 2008 election situation in Alaska nor Palin’s adept handling of it.
Rove is indeed a “turd blossem.”
get over your self Karl
Whiner. Old ammo. He’s out of ideas. Thin-skinned crybaby.
The old school RINO republicans have got to be replaced. They no longer represent the Republican tax payer base. They work for the freeloading democrats now.
The man is toxic to the image of Republicans. He should do everyone a favour and get his big fat face out of the public eye, he has nothing to offer.
I have wondered if Rove in an undercover democrat in place to sabtage Palin and steer the Republicans to defeat. There is sufficient evidence to see him as subversive influence especially in the way he derailed Palin.
Vicious. Petty.
Yeah, Sarah gored Karl's ox at CPAC, but he more than earned it.
Through his unrelenting attacks on grass roots conservative candidates and the Tea Party in general, he's helped to ensure that we wound up with the worst sort of milquetoast candidates at the top of our ticket in every election since Reagan.
Rove doesn't give a damn about the values we conservatives hold dear. He's an apparatchik for the ruling class. His job is to protect their access to power, and kill off any upstart challengers who threaten it.
Sarah pegged him for the establishment creature he is, and he knows it, which is why he comes out punching below the belt. I hope he enjoyed throwing that punch. He just smacked a grizzly bear.

I think so, now. To me, once a person uses an unreasonable Democrat talking point, that says that they’ve been thinking that way - which tells me that, at a minimum, he’s playing both sides.
The talking point is unreasonable because Sarah didn’t just quit for the hell of it, she was hounded out of office due to a really stupid ethics law that invited abuse and accusations, and then responses from her, even when there was nothing at all. Now, our side knows that, and that’s why we don’t label her as a quitter - but the other side used it very effectively against her. That tells me that Rove may be working against us.

Well I for one have cut (way) back on Fox News.
But I am probably not in their target viewership.
Oh well.
