Republican strategist Karl Rove responded to the harsh comments former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin had for him at CPAC on Fox News Sunday this morning. Before taking a shot at Palin for not completing her term as governor, he said that Palin was actually in agreement with him on former Senate candidate Todd Akin and that he actually works pro bono for American Crossroads.

Rove continued that Palin endorsed in primaries and got involved in other races around so he didn’t understand what the problem was with other people doing the same thing. He defended his work for American Crossroads saying he doesn’t “take a dime from my work” with them and actually pays all of his travel expenses for the group out of his own pocket. “I’m thought Sarah Palin was about encouraging grassroots activity. I’m a volunteeer,” said Rove.
Then he took a shot across her bow.
“I appreciate her encouragement that I ought to go home to Texas and run for office. I would be enthused if I ran for office to have her support but I don’t think, I’m a particularly good candidate, a balding fat guy. Second of all, if I did run for office and win I would serve out my term and I wouldn’t leave office midterm,” said Rove.

Bingo! They made NO effort to help her, and in fact, were smirking on the sidelines while she was left twisting in Pete Rouse's wind.
The problem, Karl, is you spent a lot of conservative money with very little to show for it. We’ve all been polite and patient, waiting for you to acknowledge reality, but I guess your ego just can’t deal with that. OK, no more polite and patient.
You are stupid. There’s just no other way to describe you. You thought you were real smart, and you took a beating. You have to be stupid to get a whupping like that. But, even that can be forgiven. What is beyond belief is your lack of loyalty and your desire to continue down this road of stupidity that you’re on. Everyone in the world knew that there was going to be trouble with what Akin said. You just intentionally made it worse. You behaved like a spoiled child.
Now, Fox puts you on so you can continue to display your stupidity. Man up. Confess that you were stupid. Take some time off to reflect on what happened to you. Running your mouth does not help us. You probably have some value to the Republican Party, but only if you realize that you have been stupid. Otherwise, shut up and go sell Slurpies.
Yet of all the candidates the GOP has (ever) put forward, Palin’s public records were gone through with a fine-tooth comb - and she passed with flying colors.

I don’t think Hannity will ever lose Rove. They are joined at the hip. I used to like to watch Sean but I don’t any more. He remains tied to the old establishment GOP. It will get him nowhere.
I’m no lover of Sarah, considering the stunt she pulled on the oil companies up there (and that I still can’t figure out where she stands on Amnesty), but even so, I think it’s telling to hear Karl Rove use the SAME TERMINOLOGY as the left in attacking her.
Hard to believe that he still has any power on our side.

Karl, how many Sarah/Tea Party backed candidates have been elected? How many Rove/Bush backed? So the real question is why do you think your opinion has any worth? BTW you so screwed up the W presidency that Obama, a horrible president, won reelection running against you and Bush!

With the sustained Cat 5 fecal storm the demonrats directed at her, her office and her family, along with the "help and support" of the Alaskan chapter of the GOPe, she was no longer able to do the job she was elected to do, nor was it likely the family would remain financially solvent if she stayed in office.
Yeah, what would you do, Karl?
That Chicago Way/Alinsky stuff are powerful, potent weapons, as anyone watching can attest to. You, Karl, know you don't have the stones or believe in a god strong enough to get you through a storm like that.
Ours is a subplot in a much bigger story and you've been playing badly. Personally, I would NOT wish on anyone what you and they have done. I pity you and however that will come back to you. And, it will.
Whether they did it on purpose or lucked into it, the GOPe took down a rising star early in her trajectory, before she could do to them in Washington what she did to them locally in Alaska.
Or, did they? We'll just have to wait and see...
