More and more people continue to buy guns in Hawaii and this weekend's gun show at the Blaisdell was packed.
Business at this weekend's gun show is booming.
"A lot more women a lot more families, it's not just a man thing anymore," says Sheldon Tyau, Event Coordinator.
Organizers say it's the largest crowd they've seen in the show's 35 year history.
The longest line was for ammo.

The countdown to Obama’s retirement begins ... Hawaiian’s begin preparations!
Its almost impossible to find ammo in the lower 48. Can’t imagine how hard or $$$ it is in Hawaii.
More armed Hawaiian women equals fewer Kamaniwanalaya’s.
All thanks to the GASOTUS
(guns and ammo salesman of the United States)
There’s no .22 except bird shot loads, no 9mm, .380, .40 or .45 acp or lc. In Connecticut. I’m well supplied presently but it cuts into range time.
Probably ex-military getting ready for the Big Kahuna Zombies. Hope they stocked up big time as Hawaii is as big of a Takers Paradise as they come.
Ditto.
It's near impossible to get anything right now.
I am looking for a civil war era Henry Big Boy lever action in 45 Colt but can find none. Even lever actions are sold out!
It is an invitation to tyranny that few governments will resist.
If I was a better shot, it would be fun to compete in Cowboy action competition (althoug, I'm not inot dressing up!)
Yep, the 30/30 is all bought out too. The old lever guns are coming out of the closet again.
Can you pick up a few boxs of Remington Golden Saber 124 Grain, Brass Jacketed Hollow Points for me?
“It’s near impossible to get anything right now.”
Really? Where part of the country are you in? I’m in NE Ohio and about the only ammo I have had a problem locating is .22 LR.
Conversely, 9MM 40 S&W and .45 rounds have been readily available all year, assuming you’re OK with Blazer Brass/Silver ammunition, which has been running for around $18.99 - $24.99 for 50-round boxes. The local limit is 5 boxes of ammo per day, per “family.”
Higher quality Hornaday and similar type Federal brand hollow points are less available, and running $25 - $30 for a box of 20 rounds.
We went to the ragne yesterday and I felt bad about wasting ammo...not too bad, though! :)
I went to get some ammo and primers for Hubby and the shelves were bare. He orders online now but the cost of everything sure is higher!
“I’m in Cali.”
That explains it! All kinds of things in short supply in Cali, common sense, reason, fiscal sanity.
Beautiful as it is, you could not get me to move into that state! Best of luck!
Liberals are liberals until it affects them personally. Look at Bill Maher and Oprah don’t want to pay high taxes.
