I am looking for a civil war era Henry Big Boy lever action in 45 Colt but can find none. Even lever actions are sold out!

I'm so glad Hubby got me a Big Boy last year, before the rush. Mine's a .44 and I always get a lot of attention at the range when I take it out :)

If I was a better shot, it would be fun to compete in Cowboy action competition (althoug, I'm not inot dressing up!)

Yep, the 30/30 is all bought out too. The old lever guns are coming out of the closet again.

If you are looking for an actual civil war gun, you have to find one at an auction. If you are looking at the Henry repro models, you just have to put in an order and wait. There are still some lever actions available. Go to Gallery of Guns and enter 45LC as the caliber and yes for stock on hand. It will show some Rossi leverguns and a Puma. Also the Circuit Judge revolver guns are really nice shooters, IMO.
