Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush gave the keynote speech Friday night at the Conservative Political Action Conference 2013 Reagan Dinner and received what was described as a respectful standing ovation when introduced, as reported by Twitchy.com.
As he laid out what appeared to be the foundation for a future presidential campaign platform, there was a general lack of enthusiasm that brought some to describe it as tepid.

Jeb couldn’t save Terri Schiavo from the ghoul lawyer and swamp judge down in Fl. Hows he gonna help save America?
If he would have courageously stepped in and threw caution to the wind to rescue Terri he would have been a conservative national hero.
Nobody on this thread cares about the truth or facts Ann Archy. Chris Mathews and Jesse Jackson convinced them that the Bushes were war criminals that lied to get us into the Iraq war to make money for Cheeeny and to avenge Papa Bush (aka WWII Wimp). President Sadam meant us or our allies no harm. Bush = Bad. And you diehard Sarah lovers, GET OVER IT! You either never got used by a pretty girl or always get used by a pretty girl. It was her who froze the conservative base who fully expected her to run up the point she was selling her DVD in Walmart. And while I’m ranting... You people who think we should nominate any conservative black person so we will win the black vote are delusional as those that think the anti war/defense libertarians like the Paulist and their plan to ignore the world will keep us safe. Jeb’s a good man but he ain’t running, not for President, not for the Senate not for nothing. If he ever moved his wife from Miami to DC she would make Mary Todd Lincoln look like a walk in the park. Quit slammin da Bush’s and next time you see Chrissy Mathews tell him “W” was the best president we ever had.
Don’t know if this has been posted yet, but Jeb Bush gave the keynote speech at the CPAC Reagan Dinner. Ted Cruz gave the keynote for the 2013 CPAC Conference (the big meeting).
Several have taken this article to mean Jeb gave the main keynote. He didn’t.
respectful standing ovation

Why in the world did they stand?
Why??
No, something else beyond zero. zero happened before all of this with Jeb started. By 2016, if we are still running against zero, we will have become Dems.
If our next candidate runs against the Dems and zero instead of expressing a vision for the future, we're still in trouble!
“If our next candidate runs against the Dems and zero instead of expressing a vision for the future, we’re still in trouble!”
Can’t argue with that. We do need future vision.
Jeb can go back to his sandbox called Florida, and write books in the quiet hours of his retirement!
Dr. Ben Carson is wobbly on the 2nd. Amendment.
Bush 1 was a disaster - dragging us into the middle east so gung ho to protect his Arab oil buddies. Bush 2 was a fascists attack on constitutional freedoms from which we may never recover. And we all know how Bush’s poor decisions left the door open for even wider abuse by someone like Obama. To the bushes - you were never conservatives, you tried to setup and backstab Reagan. Go and leave our country. Absolutely no Jeb on the next ticket. If so the third party will finally become reality.hmm, in retrospect, run Jeb run and let the third party officially kill off the GOP once and for all so our grandchildren can be free.
Chris??? Chris Matthews??? What the heck are you doing here? It’s almost St. Patty’s Day!
Jeb “Bodine” Bush is the republicans party “double ought spy”...

Jeb was a good governor down here for eight years...but the Bush name baggage is just too much. I hoped he would run for Senate and take out Bill Nelson, but he didn’t.
Let us take from the great philosopher marblemouth.................. America, “stay out the Bushes”
Insanity at best.
At best, I will not support "American Royalty". Bush may be privileged by God to be from a wealthy family, he may have managed Florida somewhat well to a point, but he will not be my president.
LOL! Thanks so much for posting that observation. I would not be able to watch.
