Daytona Beach has springtime rigged. The 24 Hours of Daytona, Nascar Speed Weeks, Bike Week, Spring Break. Several months with hotels booked.

Many of the drivers say that Bristol is their favorite track. It is easy to see why.

The World Series is held at the end of the baseball season, the Super Bowl is held at the end of the football season, likewise the Stanley Cup, and the NBA finals are held at the end of their respective seasons. Why does NASCAR hold their premier event, the Daytona 500, at the beginning of the NASCAR racing season instead of at the end of the season in Nov.? It dates back to the days before NASCAR gained such extreme control of the car designs. You work over the winter perfecting your design and debut it at the first race of the season, setting the tone for the rest of the year. Not sure if it's still true, but the general idea in F1 racing was you know who the series champ will be within the first couple of races, barring disaster, because that team has the best car/drive combo.

Excellent report. From the article:
That could cause some delays, but I think we have enough dry time that we get today's rain in.

Wouldn't that be 'run in'? Definition of REIGN 1 a : royal authority : sovereignty b : the dominion, sway, or influence of one resembling a monarch 2 : the time during which one (as a sovereign) reigns

Kyle Larson looks like the next Jeff Gordon/Tony Stewart/Kasey Kahne.
Running door to door with Kyle Busch around Bristol in your 4th ever Nationwide race is pretty impressive.
