(CNSNews.com) New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the large soda ban set to go into effect this month at city restaurants, street vendors and movie theaters is how government tells the public whats in their best interest. We're not banning anything. It's called portion control, Bloomberg said Sunday on CBSs "Face the Nation." It's a typical way that companies use to and governments use to explain to people what's in their interest and what isn't.

Sales of “32oz side cups” are expected to falter.
Dear Mr. Mayor,
Can you spell Dementia?
Get a check-up!
It’s called self control, and why should the citizens exhibit any, when your wonderful government has none?
Is he still banning private food donations to homeless shelters because you might give the homeless a high fat or high salt food? (Two things, btw, that a person exposed to the elements might need to survive better).
Perfectly captures who BloomingIdiot really is.
It’s not a concentration camp
It’s a labor camp
What's wrong with using English? Oh, that's right. The "people" may not take your advice.
Dear Mayor Bloomberg:
I am 44 years old and I am perfectly capable of controlling my own darned portions. Leave me alone.
Yours truly,

Nyers are Bloomies....deep down they love goose steppers.
...or put another way:
BLUCK FOOMBERG
What is the difference.....really??? Banning or controlling? you are still taking something away from us!!
How much portion control should someone exercise when they’re sticking a 1 liter bottle of soft drink up your a$$??!!?
Political people who try to tell me I don’t know what’s good for me have no idea what’s good for them.
What we really need are controls on arbitrary and capricious politicians.
Did you see Starbucks says, NO THANK YOU to portion control! First time Starbucks has actually done something I approved of!
What a lying jerk. Portion control is a term used by restaurants. It is a method used to control costs, not to tell their customers what’s good for them. They use exact portions, especially for the expensive ingredients, and are more generous with the inexpensive ones.
Leave it to a politician to twist the meaning out of all recognition!
New Yorkers had portion control in the amount of time a mayor was to serve. Bloomy thought otherwise and made the changes necessary to become mayor again. He is a petty tyrant.
I thought it was Provincial Puhtz?
No. It’s “government control”.
Mayor Bloomin’idiot...you’re a moron. Glad there was a judge with more sense than you!
