Former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who has remained on the sidelines since his older brother left the White House with dismal ratings four years ago, has jumped back into the political fray this week with a new book, wall-to-wall television interviews and a round of public speaking engagements.
His appearances mark a change in approach for Bush, 60, who has operated as more of a Republican elder statesman since leaving Tallahassee in 2007 but is now clearly considering a run for the White House.

I’ve been contemplating early “retirement.” Divorce my wife of near 30 years (on paper), “lose” all my assets to her in the settlement, draw my $60K/yr in welfare, healthcare, etc. as an indigent, vote for Democrats and live out my life shacked up with my ex. If Jeb runs, I may just do it..
Amen
You just hit the nail on the head of the problem. If only there was a way to have a conservative primary before the main primaries, then we could have just one real conservative up against one GOP-e RINO faker, instead of seven on one.
We have to borrow from their playbook. We have to take Jebba the Hut out.....starting NOW. Waiting will be disasterous.
Be creative.....use every opportunity to spread the word. Perhaps someone here can post a simple list of Jeb's vulnerabilities so we have them for talking points in social conversations with other Republicans.
Allegorically-speaking....if Ronald Reagan were here today and gave out feelers about running for some office, the Dems and liberals would gear up immediately and go to work to crush him before he was ever out of the box.
We have to be tough-minded about Jebba the Hut Bush.....which will be hard to do for many freepers who are emotionally ambivalent about the Bushes....and who thus will become paralyzed into inaction if Jeb announces.

Dr. Ben is good and I would vote for him if he ran as a republican. No 3rd parties for me. They lose and they lose badly. Right now, Rand Paul displays the most common sense of any candidate I have witnessed since JFK, the president who helped enact the first tax cut. I had just graduated from college and JFK’s tax cut helped revive a flagging economy.
LBJ’s guns and butter policies let the inflation genie out of the bottle by commanding the stupid Viet-Nam war. Nixon had his Watergate and WIN buttons & price controls. Carter created double digit inflation, and under Reagan the democrat congress was able to triple spending during 8 years. Bush-41 had his read my lips fiasco, and Bush-42 gave us prescription drugs, Iraq war and Nancy Pelosi for speaker who ran rough-shod over Dubya during the last 2 years. Dubya gave us TARP.
Why blame the GOPe when conservatives failed to unite against the sole moderate in 2012, one who never crossed 30% in most primaries except perhaps Utah? Let’s face it, conservatives have too much ego’s to unite behind a single candidate, again in 2016. Jeb Bush versus (Rand+Marco+Cruz+Santorum+Newt+Palin)..did I miss someone?
I’d be pleasantly surprised if the GOP would ever run a Conservative again but I doubt they ever will.
Biden/Carter vs. Bush/Lieberman.
The electorate are gonna sit 2016 out.
Santorum was pretty conservative, right?
How about Cain or Newt or Perry?
Problem is conservatives form a circular firing squad,
and the moderate wins by default. Until the conservatives
can unite behind a single candidate and keep their ego’s at
bay, moderates will keep winning nominations.
have too many egos
have too much ego
