Unless it has been changed again, the AF Lear was assisting in doing flybys of the actual plane in trouble. They have now diverted the plane to the St. Louis airport for landing.

Hehe. Lucky you. ;-)
However, on the audio feed, occasionally the pilot talks. Other than that.....racket.

The Fox talking head mentioned the fuel and no way to dump it.. you’d think for how many million a jet .. oh well.. and luckily, I’’ve only been de-iced and only did a de-fuel on a DC-10 once out of Dallas.. foam, yuk.. but effective.
now being diverted to Lambert field at St Louis, MO,, not Lambeau field. :-}
To: Don Corleone
A lear of nacelles type cannot dump fuel. The cells only hold about 200 gallons a side, so it’s not a lot of fuel if the pilot has six passengers on board. He can’t take on a big fuel load with six pax plus crew. No more than about two and a half hours worth.

Plane is diverting to Lamberth Field in St. Louis. Longer runway and more safety personnel. Good move.
To: Toespi
Yeah, I’m hearing that but I’m not sure if that’s really the case or they’re just confused. Dunno.

AF plane was doing touch and go for assistance. Now confirmed it is a civilian plane with eight on board.

OK... They did confirm its a civilian Lear jet, we haven’t seen yet. The AF jet was doing touch and goes, perhaps to show the tower what a good gear set looks like? Anyway... The actual plane is lining up for final now...
