There probably are charges against improper disposition of a firearm allowing somebody untrained to accidently discharge it.

DREAM ACT candidates, no doubt!
Actually this case has lots of investigative potential for the police and ICE.
Where did they get a gun with a “defaced” serial number?
Why did they have a gun in the first place?
Were they eligible to possess a gun at all?
Were they illegals?
Were they suspects in serious criminal activities? Charged with “possession of stolen property”. What kind?
Were any of them convicted of misdemeanors or felonies?
Were they out on bail, parole, etc., if so?
Massachusetts, folks. Reporting ain’t too good up there in Kennedy country.
If anyone follows up on this case, please post it here at FR. You can even attach it to this article.

take the dog out to the range, rig up a paw-trigger, and see what he can do!

Given that this Massachusetts, the homeowners were probably charged with illegal possession of the spent bullets.

It’s ok because now police dogs are magically the equivalent of a warrant, the Supreme Court said so.

Any eyewitnesses?
Think I've heard this one before - something bad happens and the dog gets the blame.
Usually it's flatulence or missing homework...

With all the policemen shooting dogs dead, it seems only reasonable for police dogs to at least put a scare into a few people.

That’s the third dog in as many weeks to discharge a firearm. Are we sure these incidents are accidental?

What did the K9 officer think after he fired the shot into the house?
Hint: he was fearful he would lose his job.

Of all the dogs cops have shot, not one has discharged a firearm. The first one to do so and it is a cop dog.

A dog firing a weapon? That’s pretty good. I can’t even get mine to fetch a beer from the fridge.
