The military leadership is proving to be a solid ally of President Obama in political Washington, adopting his social revolution and willing to serve as backdrops to the White House's campaign-style drive to win the budget battle with Republicans.
The armed forces have launched an unrelenting lobbying effort on Capitol Hill with a flood of briefing charts to defense staffers. They show the damage that automatic budget cuts called "sequestration" would do to the troops -- and to jobs in congressional districts. The charts coincide with the White House push to blame congressional Republicans for the spending cuts, which begin Friday.
The fates of the military chiefs and the president are more closely tied than ever.
"If there is a single constant in the norm of civilian control, it is that the military instinctively submits," said Ken Allard, a retired Army officer and columnist. "But they also recognize that presidents get exactly the kind of military advice they deserve. And he is ultimately responsible for failure or success."
Mr. Obama has won them over on the social front, too.
The Joint Chiefs have applauded opening ranks to gays. They now are searching for ways to implement Mr. Obama's other landmark decision -- lifting a ban on women serving in direct combat jobs, the infantry and special operations.
When the White House complained about supposed anti-Muslim training in the ranks, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, put into motion investigations that led to the firing of a decorated Army officer as a staff college teacher.
Political realists
Although the top brass have avoided appearing at Obama budget events, military aviators served as a backdrop Tuesday when the commander in chief landed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., on his way to a Newport News shipyard

We can think of rationalizations and reasons all day long, but at the end of it all, they failed to do their duty. They were Ottoman Pashas, reclining on divans and being fed grapes by slave girls and eunuchs, but didn’t they look magnificent in their uniforms?
“Oath? What oath? Constitution? Oh, that old rag....”
...and McChrystal and McRaven.
True. They exchanged patriotism for their base desires. Bottom line.
I personally think Obama planned it all in order to speed up his plan to destroy the military. He has been destroying the military from day one. Yes a downsize was needed as the Wars wind down, and yes money needs to be cut from the overall military budget- but it has been a hatchet job; the military is taking the brunt, the administration and media are lying by not truthfully reporting it and the cuts are not happening in other agencies as needed.

This mob will ruin the public’s opinion of the military...and it’s funding.
American-American people won’t forget the betrayal and they are the current population pool volunteering for service.
However, the foreigners and welfare mob who have no concept of American freedom, are impressed by Obama’s strong armed fascism and they are the future pool of citizens for our military.
American-Americans will reject military service in the future if it is anti-Christian/anti-American/anti-freedom. Americans are not going to risk their lives for the ideals of fascist globalism.
The US military had best hope there enough foreigners with enough votes/tax money to support the military industrial complex in the future. Problems is the foreigners and welfare mob would rather fund welfare and globalism - profit and power, devoid of morals, ethics and constitutional freedom, is not inspiring.
This is why we are hearing around returning to a draft. These amoral, anti-freedom stinkers can smell the future they have created.
