I visited the BX at the local military base where I worked at for years. The Austin single use bag ban even affected them. Had to take my “reusable” bag into the BX to take out my monthly ration of booze.

The current supervisor of the shop told me that they are putting GPS tracking devices on every vehicle, trailer, generator, etc. Batteries for said device will be over $35,000 per year for Texas alone.

We throw all our cloth totes into the laundry once a week, and the insulated bags are wiped out with disinfectant. We do most of our shopping in Cedar Park or Leander which still allow plastic or paper bags.

I saw one lady put meat that had blood dripping onto the conveyor belt and stick it into a cloth bag. Talk about salmonella city, that was it for sure.

This sequestratathon could last awhile, since Obama now sez it’s a slo- mo train wreck that could take months to uncoil. We’re gonna need stop action special effects to make it real.
