PINETOP, AZ - A small town gun shop is creating big time controversy with a sign banning anyone who voted to re-elect President Barack Obama.
The Southwest Shooting Authority in Pinetop, Arizona has a sign in the window that reads:
"If you voted for Barack Obama, your business is not welcome at Southwest Shooting Authority. You have proven you are not responsible enough to own a firearm."
Shooting Authority owner Cope Reynolds made the sign a few days after the presidential election. He also placed an ad in the local paper. Since then, it has exploded in popularity and gone viral.
Reynolds stands behind his anti-Obama sign’s message.
"I can’t imagine, after seeing what this man can do in four years, how stupid do you have to be to vote again to get the same thing. It's unimaginable to me," he said.

When you look at it, every mass murder in the last quarter century meets the profile of an Obama voter with the possible solitary exception of Tim McVeigh, who used explosives.
So Mr. Reynolds really has a point!
For a while, now, I’ve been looking for a warm place to which to retire somewhere in the southwest; at the moment, Pinetop is sounding pretty good.
This is the only type of gun control that has any chance of targeting criminals.
I sometimes spend an hour or two in the morning at the local gas stop/market and BS with the guys. One day, a lady drove up in a hoopty while I was outside smoking and asked me if I had a few dollars she could have so she could get some gas to get to ‘work’....
Didn’t even park the car! Just drove up and whined for money. Didn’t even get out.
I told her “I NEED the money I have. Go ask Obama.”
She huffed and drove off -— Obama Sticker on the bumper.
Last I looked a business has a right to refuse service to whom they choose, for whatever reason, short of any racist reasoning...But who’s going to go that far, or be stupid enough to be caught in that trap???
How would they know who you voted for, and if asked, how do you tell if they are stating the truth???
My initial reaction would be that I would probably NOT see a big reduction in patronage or sales for this shop...Even if everyone was on the up and up...
But hey, if this is their business plan, who are we to throw rocks at it...Liberals do that kind of thing, others tend to shoot back...hehehe
I wonder if the owner has a good supply of .223/5.56??? I’d buy a loose case if he has some...

I’m laying over in Phoenix, for the winter, having moved from IL, to AZ, after hiking almost 800 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. I elected to ‘settle’ in AZ, due to family members living in PHX, AND because of some of the friendliest gun laws in the nation. I have an AZ drivers license permitting me to buy guns and ammo in the state, so I now have a mission to visit THIS gun dealer in Pinetop, and buy a weapon off him, especially in light of this report. THANKS! I’ll be sure and plug Free Republic when I make the deal. Should happen in about a month. I’m currently in IL, picking up a vehicle and some property. Thanks again.

While I understand his sentiment, he should be thanking Obama for his booming business. That would blow the libs minds more.
Not long ago, I pulled into a parking space next to a hussein bumper sticker and seriously had to talk myself down from doing a Tawanda on the car.
That would be like cops thanking criminals for contributing to their job security by doing what ciminals do.

At the moment, I’m living in thr frozen Northeast; just about anyplace is warm compared to this.
How much snow do they get in a winter?
Northern AZ (which Pinetop is pretty much in) gets actual winter. Pinetop winter has highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s and they average 2 inches of precipitation pretty much every month. Meanwhile here in Tucson, actual southern AZ we’re gonna hit 80 this weekend. Of course in July it’s gonna be 110 here and 80 in Pinetop.
