It was quite a day...this was not just a rally...it was a legislative day where these very people spent the morning demanding the legislature of NY repeal this unconscionable legislation they passed in the dark of night...on purpose, and against our wishes. The good news is that even in the very blue state of NY there are a lot of democrats who stand against this. It is the insulated legislator who has now had their door knocked on for the day and the arrogant governor who had to see this rally all day long that need to wake up. It is the third rally and I am willing to be generates more of them and bigger ones yet.

Thank you for those pictures. I wondered how the turn-out ended up -- it's very gratifying.
Unfortunately, as long as we remain in the same state as New York City, we're unlikely to make much headway. If the unSAFE Act isn't repealed, then maybe we should turn our efforts to making upstate our own state. Let NYC ruin itself.

Gorgeous, wonderful, thanks to you and all who went and did battle on this for all the rest of us.
Was there any obvious union presence? They were originally gonna bus goons in on a magic bus ride, Celerity found it (sorry, no linkee).
Thanks for the post & photos. I’m trying to remember how to (down)size images... preferably without distorting them! ... to post elsewhere.

Apparent Communist YNN.COM news called this an "ANTI-GUN CONTROL" rally, not a rally to uphold the Constitution.
This station appears to be run by communists and is nothing but the propaganda arm of the Coumommunistas. The day of reckoning is soon a-comin.

I hope Cuomo feels pressured enough to pay attention. Too many of these arrogant pols deliberately isolate themselves so they can pretend not to know that they're riding roughshod over the wishes of their constituents.
My favorite sign was "I'll register my guns when the criminals register theirs". Exactly. Heretofore law-abiding citizens are going to have to take matters into their own hands now, because there is no way not to realise that the gun-grabbers will be using the paper trails from permits, registration, background checks, etc, for the future when they get down to the real end game, which was always complete confiscation. They are counting on people like us, who have always been law-abiding, to play into their hands and make it easy for them. Don't do it. Now is the time for civil disobedience and going underground. Have a couple of registered throwaway (quality is up to you) weapons in case you need to shoot at home intruders, etc. The rest-buy privately and then conveniently "lose" over the boat while out deep-sea fishing. Let the criminals and the government jackboot tyrants be surprised-not us, who have always been law-abiding, done things the "right" way, paid our taxes, and supported LEO. For once, let the element of surprise be our tool.

MSNBC will report the number as...
1) thousands of Constitutionally concerned American citizens
2) at least two dozen
3) a large unruly group of angry old white men
4) terrorists (undoubtedly armed)
5) some combination of the above

God bless every patriot who showed up today.
NY, you are leading the way.
You didn’t ask to be the leader , but you are, and you have performed magnificently.
The rest of us are buoyed by your example.

No union thugs came...SEIU backed down when they realized the backlash. I kid you not when I say this was big...even the most organized union paid for bussed in protest event has not been this big!

Excellent! Wish I could have been there! (I did send an irate letter to my RINO senator — you should see the tripe he wrote back. He won’t like my reply back to him, either.)
