I have my issues with him just like you do, but cmon. Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush are conservative enough to speak at CPAC but not Christie? Hes the current vice chair of the RGA and will be chairman next year for the midterms. Hes headed for a landslide reelection victory in a deep blue state, where his approval rating is currently the highest for a New Jersey governor in the 17 years since Quinnipiac started tracking that. Hes one of the few members of the party with a national profile whos reasonably well liked by voters across the board. Leverage his popularity, if only for a day.
I understand wanting to punish him for slobbering all over Obama after Sandy, but how do you find a spot for Chris Hayes and not for this guy? For cripes sake, Joe Scarboroughs spoken at CPAC. David Frum could probably get on a panel if he really tried. Their definition of conservative isnt strict.
At least eight potential presidential contenders will be speaking at CPAC: Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania.

But Jeb Bush was.
“former Texas Gov. Rick Perry”
When did the governorship change hands? Am I out of touch?
Christie is dead to me..... and he will remain dead to me.
Christie has proven to be nothing more than a fat rat.
Apparently you do.....
I’m curious as to how Allahpundit knows that Perry will be the former governor when in fact he is still governor. Is there something in the works that will take him out of the governorship prior to Mid March.....
Conservatives have no use for Christie.
If Christie is the 2016 nominee I’ll vote Libertarian, just like I did in 2012. I’m tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.
Clearly somebody isn't listening to the base.
Like that's news with the Republican Party.
If you invited him to sit down he would break the furniture.
Former? What have I missed?
How come you didn’t vote for the Conservative nominee, Virgil Goode ? I did.
Hell switch to the Democrat party one of these days.
What about Ben Carson?
And, keep getting the worst of two evils! Makes sense to me. /s
If Christy, Jeb Bush are the face of the Republican party, AND the republican party is happy with these people the country is lost. Every man for himself
Romney, Jebby and Christie are all RINOs but Christie is special, he's an obozo kiss ass RINO?
They are not that conservative but they didn’t kiss O’s hiney just before the election
>>Hes headed for a landslide reelection victory in a deep blue state, where his approval rating is currently the highest for a New Jersey governor in the 17
So he is keeping NJ liberals happy with the way he is running the state, so conservatives should support him why exactly?
