Because every time the democrats want to steal and spend more of our wages, we always get threatened with the same old thing. A gazillion teachers will be lost. Old people will rot away. Children will be begging for food. The earth with rip itself in half. Bla blas bla. It's always the same old story. They said the same things about the stimulus. They said the same thing about free birth control for loose woman. They said the same thing about Oboma care. They said the same thing about tax increase. If we didn't give them everything they wanted, time itself would cease to exist - and all us people would DIE a horrable death!!!.

That was my thought. All Obama has to do is tell Goldman Sachs to start a sell off, Wall Street will correct and Obama gets to blame Republicans for the loss of retirement income for the middle class.

I too am hopeful Boehner will do the right thing. And I believe he will.

Of course if this country actually survives the end of the Obama Calendar on March 1st ..... we will find that the reason this country didn't collapse is because of the incredible leadership capabilities of our Dear Leader and also because the bean counters miscalculated the date and then insist that the end of all things will definitely happen a week or two later. Well ... that is ... if the Republicans don't stop their unpatriotic treasonous stonewalling.
The Rats are trying to scare people about the budget cuts, well now maybe the Repubs will scare people about what happens if there are no cuts. That is my hope.
Yep. 85% of the American public believes we have a spending problem. If the Republicans stick to their guns and actually do something for US rather than Washington, people will FINALLY have some one to vote FOR.
Even though this is all theater for the uninformed voter (there are no "cuts" in spending), at least it looks like the Republicans are on the working citizens side of this debate for once,
