HOUSTON -- The pastor of the young woman who indicted for murder five months after a road rage incident in northwest Harris County says that if the races were reversed there might not be a murder indictment at all.
Crystal Scott, 23, shot and killed 22-year-old Jonathan Ables, September 17, 2012 ...
The drivers had pulled into a Shell gas station at Perry and FM 1960 after Scott says Ables bumped her car.
“Unfortunately the actions of an enraged man led to his untimely death,” said Scott’s pastor, Bishop James Dixon, II, who held a news conference on Wednesday -- the day after the indictment was announced.
Crystal Scott is African American. Jonathan Ables was white.
"Had this been a black male, a white female, most people are doubtful we'd be having this kind of press conference,” said Dixon when a reporter asked specifically about the race issue and whether he thought a white female would face a murder charge under similar circumstances.
"How is it that you get a murder charge when you're the one under attack,” Dixon asked.

Crystal Scott surrendered to authorities Tuesday night for a mandatory booking process and was released pending trial on $50,000 bail.
An initial court date has been set for early March.

Scott had been driving recklessly for which she had been charged 10 days earlier and also later that day. She hit Ables vehicle and they both pulled off into a gas station to exchange insurance information as is required by Texas law.
He parked 125 feet from her and walked unarmed over to her vehicle. What did she think he was coming over to her for -- to steal her bag of Skittles and iced tea???
Instead of getting out of her car with her insurance information she reached into the glove box for her CHL permitted gun and waited behind the tinted windows of her car for him to get close enough.
When he got toward the front of her car, she then fired at him from within the car but missed. That one shot that went into the window frame shattering the window sent him backing up away from the car with his hands up.
This woman then, "so fearful for her life", exited the vehicle gun in hand, and as Ables backed up away from her car with his hands up in the air, pleading for her to put the gun away, went after him, and fired three more times, two of them hitting him in the chest, killing him 30-40 feet from the car.
With her black activist pastor on speed dial her prefabricating NAACP attorney was there in minutes claiming self defense.

Bishop James Dixon travels to Sanford, Florida to join other social justice advocates including Rev. Al Sharpton of National Action Network, Marc Morial of the National Urban League and NAACP leaders.
The purpose is to protest the killing of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. He was an unarmed youth who was gunned down by a Neighborhood Watch leader named George Zimmerman.
Bishop James Dixon was recently appointed Chairman of Religious Affairs of the Texas NAACP. He works closely with national religious and civil rights leaders, many of whom will be speaking in Sanford, Florida on Thursday.
Upon returning to Houston, Bishop Dixon will be sharing with leaders across Texas how they can lend their voices to the cause of justice and show their support for Trayvon Martin's family.
He will also hold a meeting with African-American youth to help soothe the growing anxiety stemming from their fear of police.
Bishop Dixon recently introduced a new campaign to area leaders, Be Your Brother’s Keeper, Not Your Brother’s Killer. The purpose is to promote the concept of brotherhood within and across lines of race, and to discourage violence by promoting the sanctity of human life.

Yep. In a case like this, it is best to turn around with your back to them and walk away. If you are shot, it makes the "scared for my life" defense much more unlikely to succeed.
Do not approach a vehicle with tinted windows; wait for the police.
Unless the facts are disputed, this pastor is a race baiter trying to excuse murder. Unfortunately, race baiting pays.

With racist hate pimps like Dixon fomenting the murder of Whites in Houston and thousands of Katrina parasites still infesting the city, why would any White person with a choice move to humid Houston?

This time he ran into a woman who was tired of it ~ witnesses report he tried to get in her car ~ she shot him.
The only mistake the preacherman made was describing him as 'white' ~ 'cause he wasn't. Crystal knew exactly what he was up to.
Perhaps George Zimmerman can answer that for you Pastor.

Seems like we have two distinctly different versions of events. If it was at a service station, I gotta wonder if there is video. That would clear things up nicely.
I said earlier that if everything happened the way the shooter said it did the tape will be out on the street quick, and if there's a problem we may never see it!

This case probably had surveillance on the front door and the pumps where trouble usually happens. The woman pulled off the road and parked some distance from that central area. There can be good reasons why there's no video there.
BTW, I check back on this case from time to time as well, and refresh my memory of what went down. The earliest story tried to portray the hispanic guy as white but he's undoubtedly mestizo. She's American!
He's left that identity piece in there ~ but I thought we'd all gotten past that business since there were over one dozen women in that part off Houston metro with that exact same name.
The indictment by the Grand Jury was a given if they had the same set of facts that were obvious at that Diwataman website — and clearly they did.
