Of course the Republicans will compromise . . . at the end of the day isn’t capitulation their real goal, and all the debate in the meantime is just a bone to the conservative voters who put them into office? One FReeper accused me of a “baseless slander” of the Republican Senate after I wondered which one(s) would turn at the offer of a juicy committee assignment or pork project.

I’ve been saying for years now, and I mean years, and years, and years we have to pull the chain, and flush the Congressional bowl. Keep pulling that chain until every bit of the self serving crap is cleared from the bowl, and start over with actual representation of the people.

Since the first time I ever wrote that online back at Lucianne.com many moons ago (I’d been saying it since Carter days) the TEA Party happened along, and now we have something, and someone in Sarah Palin, and some others for the hoped for leadership to get behind to push for what we want.

It still looks bleak, but we at least seem to have a direction to persue.
