Police in Christopher Dorner standoff launched incendiary tear gas into cabin
By CHUCK BENNETT and DAVID K. LI From Post Wires Last Updated: 6:14 AM, February 14, 2013
Murderous ex-cop Christopher Jordan Dorner wanted to go out in a blaze of glory and the sheriffs deputies who surrounded his California mountain hideout provided the flames.
The San Bernardino County cops torched the wooden cabin with highly flammable incendiary tear gas as Dorner took refuge Tuesday, apparently burning him to a crisp.
Burn this mf--er! one officer shouted as they had Dorner who had earlier killed a deputy and seriously wounded another pinned down in the cabin, according to police radio transmissions.
Amid sounds of gunfire, voices can be head shouting, Burn it down! and Shoot the gas!

There are the “cops can do no wrong” crowd who say Weaver should have immediately surrendered. All Weaver knew was that some guys had shot his friend, his son and his son’s dog. So why would he walk out and say “Shoot me, too.”
BTW, please point out where I have said you or anyone else supports Dorner. My problem is the attempt to make this into the next Waco when it is nothing of the sort - and much of the stuff being claimed erodes basic concepts of self-defense.
If that's the case then why, as noted elsewhere on the thread, did the live-TV interviews of residents have them expressing relief, not that Dorner was dead, but that the police wouldn't hurt them?
What I said on that on another thread:
“The actions of the Torrence cops shooting up a BLUE TOYOTA TACOMA and the LAPD in ramming a BLACK HONDA RIDGELINE that looks nothing like a GREY NISSAN TITAN and shooting at the OBVIOUSLY NOT DORNER WHITE GUY after visually confirming he wasnt Dorner are actions that warrant extreme brutal and with malice aforethought scrutiny.”
There need to be firings and charges brought over it at the least.
What if Dorner had been shot and killed at that point? Would that have been OK?
YES! Then announce you shot him. But don’t burn the building down then deny it. Obviously someone with the SBCSO, probably an attorney, is telling the sheriff that it’s not in the best interest of LO to admit it.
Wouldn’t it be something if some cop gets fired over this then goes out and becomes “Dorner #2”.
What is your damage, sir? Have you nothing to say but spout insults? Are you incapable of critical thought to the point that you cannot respond with anything but insulting pablum?
You’ve now responded to me twice with insulting media insinuating that I am incapable of rational, lively debate on a level to which you apparently ascribe and do not deign to dip below. Does this mean that nothing I’ve said means anything to you outside of a simple amalgamation of words? Are you incapable of grasping even the simplest of ideas to which you can respond with even a modicum of cogent thought?
I believe you’ve shown to me and to the entirety of this thread that you are nothing more than a grumpy old man who does not wish to partake in any level of civil discourse. You are the anti-American sir, insomuch as you are unwilling to debate or discuss the issues with anyone with whom you might disagree, and as such, I would go so far as to label you as no better than any Democrat, Liberal, and/or Progressive who would cast aside the Constitution of this country in lieu of a global socialist agenda.
If you truly are a combat veteran, sir, then you are a disgrace to the uniform for not standing up for any of the values to which you swore an oath, and I pray that your golden years are spent silent and outside of the realm of influence to those of us who wish to fight (physically or through debate) to see this country rise to its former glory.
If someone was smart they'd make it a tourist attraction. And have nightly marshmallow roasts.
I really don't care. Honestly. He had already killed one deputy at that location. What difference does it make if he was shot or roasted? It ended the incident without further jeopardy to the LEOs there.
Too many posters are trying to make this into another Waco. It isn't.
Would be extremely ironic if it was the guy who rammed the Black Honda Ridgeline.
I'm confused, did the housekeepers he tied up at gunpoint say that? Or how about the guy he pointed a rifle at and whose car he stole? Did he say that? Or how about the woman whose cabin he holed up in and shot at the police from? Did she say that?
They couldn’t wait- it would intrude on Dear Leader’s address to his subjects.
There is reasonable speculation that the cop killed that day was killed in friendly cross fire. I don’t know. Neither do the cops. If you read many of the news accounts carefully, they state that the cop died that day of gunshot wounds, and do not attribute the shooting to anyone in particular.
If an inquest has occurred and the caliber in question is determined to be exclusively Dorner’s, then we’ll have a new bit of information.
And, no, I did not say cops can’t use lethal force. I have been saying that non-lethal options probably existed that offered the option of Constitutional Due Process, and were apparently not exercised in favor of a pre-planned murder.
“Burn The M*****-F***er Down!” Coming to a house near you soon!
A point lost on many 'law and order' Freepers. You know, the ones who don't mind if the police break the law.
Perhaps you have a link to a post expressing sympathy or support.
Oh, for crying out loud. It was a hot shootout and you think they should have been using beanbag rounds? Funny thing about a firefight - the longer it goes on, the greater the chance that more people get killed.
He did? What reliable source did you get that info from? And when I say reliable, it immediately invalidates any Government source and any source wherein the people imparting the info are associated with any Main Stream Media.
And I'm not saying its false But these sources lie constantly and can't be trusted so just because they say it is so doesn't mean anyone should automatically believe it.
