"I'm going to get in trouble for saying this," said a prescient Joe Scarborough. Less than an hour after delivering a devastating take-down of the Obama economic record that surely pleased many conservatives, Scarborough made remarks about Marco Rubio that are bound to outrage many of the same folks.
Commenting on Marco Rubio's response to the State of the Union, Scarborough declared that Rubio "is not ready to be President of the United States" and that "Republicans pushing him out there are making a big mistake."

I swear, Scarborough is constitutionally incapable of going an hour without saying something that will outrage conservatives. Ping to Today show list.
I completely agree that Rubio is not ready to be president. Perhaps we should first wait a bit and see if he actually does anything conservative?
I was impressed by Rubio, I was not expecting to be impressed. I thought the speech was great on content, he was obviously nervous, no big deal to me.
Only if you give a sh*t about the asshat. I have utterly no concern what a liberal like Scarborough has to say.
I was going to post something similar like, let’s wait to see if he is completely sanitized of his so-called conservatism before granting him the label and rushing to support his candidacy for Presidency.
Agreed 100%.
I may or may not support a Rubio candidacy in 2016. Would definately prefer Palin at the top of a ticket (Palin / Rubio?).
But I agree 100%. Rubio passed this test with flying colors.
But,but, millions of Hispanics will reject more free s***
to vote for Rubio.
Marco Rubio is the Cuban-descent Hispanic version of “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”.
Like the fictional Jefferson Smith, first the temptations to corruption will be offered, then being framed into a scandal will be the follow-up strategy.
Not much has changed in the last century or so. Or for even much longer, if one wants to go into an exhaustive study of the matter. The Roman Senate was plagued by just these kinds of intrigues and petty jealousies.
Rubio was making a speech, how does the Scab equate that as making him President?
Folks, this is classic Leftist “pump and dump”.
The Left pumped up Rubio as the savior of the GOP, and of course the GOP-e fell for it. Even had the speech in Spanish.
What could go wrong?
The whole purpose of the Left calling for Rubio, putting him on magazine covers, etc. was precisely for what you saw last night and this morning.
Rubio = FAIL!
Rubio could have given the best speech ever made in DC, it would not matter.
They pumped him up in order to cut him down.
So scripted.
We have to get better at this game.
Well!! I’ve been on pins and needles waiting to hear what Rhino Joey thinks!!!
Same here. He did well, but started speaking a little fast about halfway through. Like the others though, I'm holding off on a verdict until we see what he does.
And who is the one person you hear nothing about? Jeb Bush, of course. And who's family is Rove and crew most connected with? I don't think it's any secret the Bush family intends to run Jeb in 2016...
That very well could be.
And then we’ll get the Bush-Clinton Cartel running against each other in 2016.
Would definately prefer Palin at the top of a ticket (Palin / Rubio?).
If only...
Yes, Rubio has gone up a notch in my book. As for being president well way to soon to make a call on that. Let’s see if his actions match his words. On another front I thought Pauls’ address was excellent too. The reps elected by the Teas Party are damn good conservative thus far IMHO.
Weird how neither Scarborough or any one other single person in the entire media enterprise wondered out loud if Obama was ready to be president just 3 years after his rise from obscurity. He clearly was polished and ready as a back-bencher in the corrupt Illinois state government.
Rubio was Speaker of the House in Florida, one of our largest states, and will have served two more years in the US Senate than Obama did in 2008.
Hi Joe,
I know Jeb Bush is ready.
Well, who (ever)is really READY to be president?
