HB872 pending in the Texas legislature authorizes in-state (with no Federally restrictions) production & sale of guns with a bore diamenter up to 1.5 inches! I can’t imagine what THAT would do to a user or a victim. It would be vicious on BOTH ends!

Sorry 'bout that.

Don’t let the Leftists know about it. They’ll have a friggin’ cow if they get wind.

This is not a whole lot different than shooting a one ounce (437.5 grain) 12-gauge slug from a rifled barrel.

They don't tell the ballistics of their round, but the cartridge is not necked-down very much. I bet the muzzle velocity is less than 2000 fps.

The video said it was a 2400 grain bullet at 2100 fps. That’s way more than a rifled shotgun slug. That’s around a 1/3 of a lb bullet.

I beg to differ. Bullet weight is 2800 grains and powder capacity is a lot greater than a 12ga.

I think muzzle velocity is 2200 fps.

Given E= 1/2M x V squared, the energy is a force of magnitude greater.

Muzzle velocity is 2100 ft per sec and they say so in the video.

The 12 gauge comes nowhere near the 25,000 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.

I would advise them not to post on YouTube, lest Obamugabe have them offed like the guy in Georgia.

I am afraid that would crack open what’s left of my chest, but I’d still love to own one. ;>)

$40 a shot... ouch!

I’ve always said it’s not that I like big guns, I like big bullets. I think I have met my match.

You can buy 12 gauge slugs in the 8,000 ft-lbs range. They are very painful to shoot out of a pump shot gun. I hope they have a decent recoil management system! I see an ER visit after lighting off one of these rounds.

Bump for later viewing.

How many grains of powder does that case hold? You’d have to buy it by the keg.

The muzzle energy of the .950 JDJ is comparable to the kinetic energy of a 2,800 lb (1,300 kg) automobile traveling at 20 mph (32 km/h).

I believe they said 240 grains. That's big.
