Police plan to use spy drones in the hunt for a Rambo-style ex-soldier and policeman who has murdered three people and vowed to kill again.
They believe burly, heavily-armed Christopher Dorner is holed-up in the wilderness of Californias snow-capped San Bernardino mountains 80 miles east of Los Angeles.
The burnt-out shell of his pick-up truck was discovered in the nearby resort of Big Bear, where residents and tourists have been warned to stay indoors as the search continues.
Yesterday, as a task force of 125 officers, some riding Snowcats in the rugged terrain, continued their search, it was revealed that Dorner has become the first human target for remotely-controlled airborne drones on US soil.
A senior police source said: The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, its like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Or...he is holed up somewhere either dying or dead from the...drone.
Of course if they use this guy as some kind of a live fire exercise and demonstrate that Due Process is indeed dead in America and not just overseas, they may at least try to hide the body. He's being awfully quiet for someone who has run out of time.
Like it or not, due process means this creep (short of threatening or opening fire on someone) should still get a trial. If for nothing else then to give that poor captain the satisfaction of facing his daughter's killer. Face to face.
“...residents and tourists have been warned to stay indoors as the search continues.”
Lest they be shot by the cops.
“Man, sounds like you guys are living the Hugh Hefner life down in the Philippines.”

I never implied that. I was referring to drones in the USA.
Americans have a fascination with outlaws anyway, but there is yet another motive.
People want to see if someone, anyone can 'beat' the powers that be on a manhunt. They identify with the idea of being hunted for whatever reason, especially with the level of totalitarianism lately.
While that ignores the apparent fact that this guy is a leftist and a murderer, people also recognize that they, too, could be characterized by the government and mass media as virtually anything and having done virtually anything, should TPTB decide--and then hunted in similar fashion.
To get on the list, you have to threaten to go to the mods if you're not added.
I used the word “conspiracy” tongue in cheek; I don’t know how many times I’ve posted the dictionary meanings of that word when people fling it around as though the definition was “paranoid fantasies believed in by kooks”.
I’ve posted the definition from legal sites, too.
The freakgov is the biggest criminal conspiracy around, other than mozlems but then, I repeat myself...
I agree with you 100% and there is no act horrific enough for them not to commit. They’re on the beginning of their roll, since Steaming “won” a second term, and the Rs didn’t even whine about the massive election fraud.
My tagline says that Rs without courage are the enemy. They have no virtures at all, if they have no courage.
If that was him.
Exactly!
LOL!
Wouldn’t it be ironic if everybody was forced to conclude that the only way for Dorner’s targets to be safe is if everybody is armed so that if he tries to strike again they can shoot defensively? He could be anywhere in the country by now, and drones can be wrong and shoot innocents just as much as cops can be wrong and shoot innocents. You know they’re not an innocent when they pull out a gun and try to shoot. If somebody is armed when the shooting occurs, you may end up with one dead victim and one dead perp. That may be the best we’re gonna get.
