John Brennan, President Barack Obama's Deputy National Security Adviser, had been authorizing 'unilateral operations in North Africa outside of the traditional command structure,' according to the e-book. Brennan is Obama's pick to replace Petraeus as head of the CIA.

Not for nothing...but I believe she went after him deliberately to bring him down. More proof of the power of a woman and why they are used as spies.

Wonder if Brennan has something on Obama ...or do all those Muslims stick together?

The Agency will soon have to figure out how to marginalize or remove that traitor and muslim convert Brennan, if he is not disposed of by the Senate.

Petraeus shouldn’t have allowed his loins to overpower his brain, but it’s obvious that he was forced out so as to bring in a jihadi-supporter.

It would not come as a surprise if Petraeus was taken down by insiders at the CIA.
If you think back, George Bush named Porter Goss (I think) to head the CIA and clean it up. Goss lasted only a short time before he was chased out.
The CIA is like most long standing government bodies, they still exist because they are too 'important' to fail and they are self perpetuating. anything and anyone that gets in their way must and will be ground into dust.

Petraeus brought himself down through his own stupidity, ego, and immorality. He has no one to blame but himself.

Democrats, good at covertly instigating trouble and complaining, then waiting for the "war mongers" to the rescue the situation or get killed in the mess
...all while they play innocent bystanders.
I call it the go-to, eastern European, leftist strategy for "socialist liberty", since they seen to implement it all over the globe.
Pretty smart..since it gets some of the enemy killed along with those pesky, knuckle-dragging, protectionist neocons killed at the same time.

It’s been obvious, call it what it is......Obama has his own not too secret government. He operates outside the boundaries of the constitution every opportunity he has, and flaunts it. IMPEACHMENT is the only answer.

Very strong assertions by the authors. So, Brennan, sue them if it isn’t true. I tend to believe it is factual. Keeping Patraeus in the dark, direct attacks from the WH, etc., it is SOP for this regime.

Reading the whole article, the real bombshell here is Brennan’s secret off the books operation in N Africa that was unknown to the CIA and State Dept. I sure hope someone has the spine to see that he is questioned about this under oath before he’s confirmed as the CIA Director. Sounds like the plot line out of Clancy’s “Clear and Present Danger”

I think that this represents a major achievement by the American press, demonstrating that they are engaged in a neverending quest for the truth and will use the power of the press to tell the American people the real story about what is happening in Washington without regard to the political fallout. What’s that you say? The Daily Mail isn’t an American paper? It’s a Brit paper? So, the American media hasn’t reported any of this? Curious.

So, the CIA careerists brought down Petraeus because of a quibble over tactics? Nope. Doesn’t pass the common sense test. Those CIA people would know that fighting with Petraeus could end their careers. They wouldn’t risk their careers in a disagreement over tactics. It’s something bigger or more personal than a disagreement over tactics in the CIA.

ping to claims that Benghazi was blowback for Brennan’s SpecOps war and arms smuggling in Libya which was withheld from CIA’s Petraeus and SOS’s Stevens.
