Very strong assertions by the authors. So, Brennan, sue them if it isn’t true. I tend to believe it is factual. Keeping Patraeus in the dark, direct attacks from the WH, etc., it is SOP for this regime.
Reading the whole article, the real bombshell here is Brennan’s secret off the books operation in N Africa that was unknown to the CIA and State Dept. I sure hope someone has the spine to see that he is questioned about this under oath before he’s confirmed as the CIA Director. Sounds like the plot line out of Clancy’s “Clear and Present Danger”
I think that this represents a major achievement by the American press, demonstrating that they are engaged in a neverending quest for the truth and will use the power of the press to tell the American people the real story about what is happening in Washington without regard to the political fallout. What’s that you say? The Daily Mail isn’t an American paper? It’s a Brit paper? So, the American media hasn’t reported any of this? Curious.

Agreed! He was totally stupid. The head of the CIA, like other very important people CANNOT be having affairs. The reason is because they are then subject to being blackmailed and/or brought down by their enemies. And that is exactly what happened.

Of course his body guards knew the story. That isn’t news. Others knew and disliked him and made sure it came out.
THe real news here is that Brennan was running secret ops and gun running.
So, the CIA careerists brought down Petraeus because of a quibble over tactics? Nope. Doesn’t pass the common sense test. Those CIA people would know that fighting with Petraeus could end their careers. They wouldn’t risk their careers in a disagreement over tactics. It’s something bigger or more personal than a disagreement over tactics in the CIA.
I am up to episode 4.

Linda Graham is tearing up on Benghazi on Face the Nation..says he will block nominations until they get explanation from the Administration. Maybe this book will get some press as a result.
