I’d rather watch the high school marching band that came in 24th in the North Dakota marching band competition than watch what passes for half time Super Bowl entertainment these days.
Superbowl halftime entertainment was pretty harmless into the ‘80s and didn’t become degenerate until well into the ‘90s.

Bring it on!
Have them do the Star Spangled Banner while you're at it, instead of some "personal" rendition by the low-life talent that usually performs it (notice the absence of the word sing).
First Super Bowl I ever intentionally did not watch, not even the highlights on ESPN or the evening news. Cannot stand the Ravens, especially Ray Lewis.
And the QB for the 49'ers looks like he should be in an orange jumpsuit or an NBA uniform with his tattoos, goatee and end-zone celebration. What a revolting spectacle!
And why bother to watch it just for the commercials? They will be running for the next six months any way.
Every time they come up with a Black Eyed Peas and I think things couldn't get worse, here comes Madonna or BeeYoncie.
If they don't do Marching bands, I'd vote for Cirque d' Soliel.
I love marching bands, but those dance and jive ones in the early eighties can just disappear.
i love the uniformed Sousa bands that can really play.
and pretty dressed cheerleaders who can really jump
i have better times at highschool games than at pro games.
