In what has become a recurring theme for the Spanish language network Univision, one of their employees took to social media recently to smear Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). According to the Miami Herald, a top assistant to a Univision news boss criticized Rubio being chosen as the Republican response to the State of the Union.
The employee at the center of the controversy is one Angelica Artiles who took to Facebook to post the following vicious attack:
"Oh, wow, the loser is going to speak after our President. Anything to get publicity. Ask him to do us a favor and stay home that night What makes Marquito a patriot? Youve been watching some Disney movie, not even Romney wanted him, get over it, we won! Tell Marquito to stay home with Snow White and the other six dwarfs. His career as a politician is o-v-e-r. The only reason he is speaking after the President is because most of the other Republicans are smart enough to know when theyve had it. He is the token slave boy chosen to look like a fool, once AGAIN. Makes me laugh. Talk about mediocrity when you voted for Mittens and Ryan. Wow."
Univision, which is owned by a major Democratic donor named Haim Saban, is known for its vitriolic attacks on Senator Rubio. As NewsBusters reported in August of 2012, a vicious Facebook post under Univision's byline attacked Rubio by saying (translated from Spanish below):
"Beyond ideology, Rubio is a mediocre politician and contradictory to the values he claims to represent. Jeb Bush is more Latino and talented than him."
Bingo. You've cracked their code. This should be on the tip of the tongue of every black and hispanic Republican running for office.
Hispanics are like Asians...they hate the other ones. Mexicans hate Cubans, and the feeling is mutual.
I’m not sure if she is Mexican, but I found Artiles in many Mexican articles.
By definition, they are saying ‘if you hang out in the party we associate with whites, or if you take what we’ve define as ‘white’ positions, then you are no longer one of us.
That’s just about as blatant as racism gets, and they need to be called out for being the bigots that they are.
so much for the new GOPe target demographic
Nah, he isn’t a ‘token slave boy’. He’s a RINO!
People need to realize that Marco Rubio is not going to bring in the Hispanic vote. Ain’t gonna happen
The Liberals think he is a token slave boy....Conservatives know he is not one of us
And, although Univision is HQ in Miami, they are leaning more towards the Mexican/Mestizo market, and away from the Cuban (white) South Fla market. They are in the process of replacing some of their Miami based shows with programs from Mexico. Univision is a big Illegal Alien Amnesty supporter
Mexicans “dislike” Blacks, Asians and just about every other minority in the US. If there ever was going to be a race war in the US it won’t be between the Whites and Blacks. That’s a fact jack.
lol
And the GOP thinks Hispanics will vote for them if they have Rubio and others like him in office.
I wish Rubio would contact Univision and suggest an on-air interview with this beyoooootch in any language. Pin her down with a some specific policy questions and get her to tell him to his face that he’s a “slave boy”
There is an Angelica Artiles who has a LinkedIn profile saying she is an administrative assistant for Univision.
WHITEY IS EVIL AND SUX.
I have been saying this here since the first day. There is no “Hispanic vote” because there are no “Hispanics”. It’s a madae-up term. Rubio might be able to deliver Florida, but the Chicanos etc are not going to vote for him. Never.
But Rub is the magical candidate who will turn Hispanics into conservatives.
Four years ago Michael Steele promised to get blacks to vote R, if he got RNC chairman.
Paint me skeptical, always.
That’s her. I’m just not positive if her surname is Mexican or not. I think it is though.
Chicken judge. Let her stand in a corner for five minutes, and then she can walk away. Gutless wonder
That is too much; gracias.
ROFL. I’m saving that on my hard drive.
