former CBS broadcaster Dan Rather (Now with AXS-TV) was understandably asked a question about Rathergate the story on George W. Bushs service in the Air National Guard that used forged documents in the report.
Rather responded brusquely:
Number 1 the facts of case are not in dispute.
Number 2 no one had ever established that the documents were forged

So, I guess in today’s world, ‘journalists’ publish documents that fit their agenda, and it is up to the citizens to prove they are forgeries????

Another poster called out the documents during the broadcast...within minutes...Buckhead posted a bit later. The timeline is laid out in the book To Set the Record Straight. I still have the original thread links in a word file.
