ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) An African American family sued Disneyland after the actor who portrayed the White Rabbit character from Alice in Wonderland allegedly refused to hug or touch their children because of their skin color.
Jason and Annelia Black of San Diego County said the person in the rabbit costume also acted impatiently as their young kids posed for a picture at the Anaheim theme park.
The Blacks, however, said it was a different scene when a Caucasian family arrived.

The black family is from Africa?
What continent were the white people from?
The Black's say they were offered a VIP pass and the $500 but are specific that they were "gifts"....not as an apology blah, blah, blah...
Boy, if the Black's kids were black and gay, they'd have it made.
Were these Bebe’s kids? “F’d Micky all up”.
Let’s say this happened EXACTLY as described.
Raise your hands if you think it’s worthy of a lawsuit, much less a “federal case”.
Their first clue was he kept checking his humongous pocket watch.
My guess is that the kids were being pushy and/or skipped the line and the rabbit gave attention to the polite children. I’ve seen that happen in the past with costumed characters.
Just a guess, though.
Those costumes have limited fields of vision and there is usually a cast member “handler” who acts as backup eyes.
Where is the video?
This seems like that protest case where the bratty teenager was trying to mess with the tigger costume’s zipper.
What nice people. They specifically want the employee fired. Yeah, teach your kids to rape the system. Well done.
I know it would be politically incorrect to note that African Americans are the rudest complainers in any restaurant, store, I guess Disneyland, too.
Now how is it we have this awful white racist society, and everywhere you turn blacks are yelling at white people? Funny how that works. At least the Disney characters don’t expect tips.
And you know what? Blacks are so racialized now they actually believe this crap.
Is he ten feet tall?
Just because the rabbits color is white does not mean that the person inside is white.
This is really getting ridiculous
From the photo at the link, the kid’s body language fairly screams “Don’t touch me!” Doesn’t seem like somebody craving a little lepus love.
This is what happens when parents expect Disneyland staff to behave like public school teachers or gay scoutmasters.
Smells like B.S.(Bologna Sandwhich) to me!!
Ask if the average lawyer advertising on tv thinks it’s worthy of a lawsuit.
I don’t, but they sure do.
Yep, I’ve had that kind of thing happen more than once in checkout lines. A black checkout girl will be laughing and chatting with the black person in front of me, and when it’s my turn, the smile turns to a scowl and she refuses to even speak. And the receipt gets practically thrown at me.
Okay, so I propose that Disney get a Black Rabbit to equalize the situation............
We don’t have video from beginning to end of the “encounter” between the White Rabbit and everyone that day.
But, I am sure I would be charged with being a racist just for asking if it was at all possible that the behaviors of different children leads the person in the White Rabbit suit to respond differently. I am not saying anyone knows that is the case; just that we don’t know that’s not the case either.
Let’s wait for the court case, if there is one.
Blacks feel so victimized that they’re creating imagined slights based of their black color. This family and many more like them are having a horrible life, because they’re looking for slights that aren’t there at all. They go to Disneyland with a chip on their shoulders and end up having a lousy time, just because they’re black?
