ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) An African American family sued Disneyland after the actor who portrayed the White Rabbit character from Alice in Wonderland allegedly refused to hug or touch their children because of their skin color.
Jason and Annelia Black of San Diego County said the person in the rabbit costume also acted impatiently as their young kids posed for a picture at the Anaheim theme park.
The Blacks, however, said it was a different scene when a Caucasian family arrived.

I guess this is the first time I’ve heard of parents complaining a costumed mascot did NOT touch their kids.
White rabbit power!!!
Prove it
Is that a code word for Armenian?
How would that be possible?
Didn’t they know the rabbit was late for a very important date?
Sounds like they were better off keeping some distance.
Brer rabbit apparently learned from Sandusky.
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you’re going to fall
Tell ‘em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
To call Alice, when she was just small
People named “Black” suing because of the WHITE rabbit. Just can’t make this stuff up.

By far the funniest post on this thread.
Just for the sarcastic references.
I happen to have a unique understanding of performers who play a fuzzy character at D/L. There are very specific procedures the performer must adhere to when greeting a guest. Especially a child. This child could have been stand-off-ish so the performer didn’t hug him. Normally, the performer will not start a hug, for example, unless the child initiates it first. It’s a very complicated process and these D/L performers go through a lot of training to make sure they greet every guest properly. Maybe the performer didn’t hug this child for reasons other than the fact that the kid is black.
When Tigger ignored my kid he grabbed its tail and wouldn’t let go. We didn’t get VIP passes. We’re lucky we didn’t get booted out.
Perhaps Alice was thinking of Obama at the time and simply wasn’t in the mood.
DEY BE-BE KIDS!
